Just moved here from Seattle and this was the fastest and most easiest experience renewing tabs I've ever had! So happy I could just walk in and not have to wait in line! 🙌 in Seattle you have to get to the tabs place before they open and its still an hour or longer wait!

The registered owner needs to go into an office and sign a form about what happened to the tab, it's roughly $16 to replace them.

If you are here in person we can tell you if you are the owner but we would not be allowed to tell you who the owner is, if it is not you. I'm not sure of the reason you need the information but you can submit a vehicle record request to the state of Washington's public disclosure unit. If you meet the requirements for being given the information they will respond to your request. Email is by far the fastest way to make the request. https://www.dol.wa.gov/forms/224003.pdf
In person or theres documents you can sign in front of a notary, email to us for fees, and send it through the mail. You do not need an appointment. If you cant wear a mask call us when you arrive and we'll send someone out.

Yes it is law .sorry for your loss ironically i had the same issue.i was allowed to keep her old id card but was told that any violations could not be given to the deceased tickets or tabs since they were not physically here with all due respect.but you can obtain a special plate with the name in memory of
