Huge selection - a lot of fun to browse. The event going on when we visited seemed very lively and definitely added to the experience. They do buy collectible items such as pokemon cards, though of course you will recieve much less than doing it on your own (which can sometimes be worth it to make it quick and easy). Has lots of other hobby items such as jigsaw puzzles too!

Stopped by after a day out at the San Diego Zoo. As a semi-regular LGS shopper across the West Coast I can easily say this is a very solid spot. Pleasantly clean shelves/displays and easily distinguishable play areas made the atmosphere feel very welcoming and exciting to hangout and play any game. Boasting a wide selection of board games, TTRPG supplies (mostly D&D 5e & Pathfinder from what I saw), war games (40k & AOS) alongside models both painted and unassembled. Good quality stuff all around! Staff are very attentive and let you do your own thing without hovering over you like most shops tend to do nowadays. Made my transaction quick & painless even though I had a tiny Snapfu with my payment option. We got it sorted quickly though, through no fault of they're own. Personally bought some games for future board game nights with friends and loved ones. Werewolf complete, Dark Souls the board game, Tsuro & the original Owiji Board by Parker Brothers just for the kicks. If your in the area check em out, solid 4.9. I'm only knocking them a but since they didn't have a few minor things I was glancing around for.

I'm giving this 2 stars, and the only reason it's two stars is they do have a great selection of board games and mini figurines if you are looking for a store specifically for that. Its zero stars as a card shop and it's customer service. The cards are way WAY over priced and the handful of times I went (alone and with friends) I was treated like I was an annoyance and practically ignored. No asking if I needed any help or anything.

We were looking for a few games for Christmas presents as well as to add to our own stash and we hit the jackpot! Game Empire was a game wonderland. The staff, especially Cliff, were knowledgeable and friendly. Cliff helped us narrow down to these beauties. We will definitely be back to support this business. Great place to pick up a new (or used) board game!

The used inventory is always changing. Best to call ahead. Or stop by. It's fun to browse.
Yes, they do!
Masks are mandatory. The public restroom that was only for customers is not public anymore. The hours have been cut. Prior to the pandemic hours were store closed at 9, but gaming area closed at 10 and 11pm/ midnight on Friday and Saturday. Now GE closes much earlier.
Yes. I was there a few days ago and saw several expansions for settlers of Catan. You can always call ahead to check availability as stock can change.
They have carried both before. I would call ahead and see what they have in stock currently, or stop by to see.
Most of the established games are there, newer games may depend on availability. Call them. Also, yes - plenty of tables to play on.
Yup. I would call first. They're bound to have an event soon where you can do just that.
Yes, you can trade for cash or store credit.
