This room is advertised as a "train room" (#12, see the website). It is NOT. It is a modular home on train trucks. Very disappointing. Front desk was very nice about issuing a refund for tomorrow night.

Very basic accommodations but kind and considerate service. If you go, I recommend you take a short walk to Esther's bakery in the morning for one of her apple fritters. Yumm!

Nice accomodating and friendly people. Rooms were spotless. The only reason not 5 stars is the beds were like plywood and every time someone walked on the floor above us it was LOUD and very creaky. I will stay here again but not on the lower level.

My husband and I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of our everyday life and chose to come back to Sugarcreek. We previously stayed in one of the converted train car rooms and loved it so we decided to stay here again. The location is perfect. It’s reasonably priced. It’s tucked away so it’s quiet. Our room was quaint and very clean. The shower had great water pressure. The bed was a little firm (especially if you’re a side sleeper), but comfortable. Something we didn’t notice on our first visit is how thin the walls are. We could hear EVERYTHING going on in the rooms next to us. The wall unit for the heat and AC could use an update (we either felt like we were melting or we were cold). We also wished that we had a microwave in our room. Overall it was a great place to stay and we will go back again. Hopefully when we return the caboose will be ready to rent!
