Was great they help me alot during tutoring backthen in highschool and little staff was nice but years on it became different new volunteers are so mean and the staff arent helpful and so mean even with internship and job searching. They arent really helping me somtimes they arent even trying. as a citziten it feels like they are willing to help refugees more and etc but me they just dont even care as a client. They just discriminate in these services and judge me for the way i dress and my personal look. Seems they care about the benefits for the refugees and immigrants, eapcailly money for themselves.

Mrs. Wafa Katto was one of the most caring and hard working employees/case managers I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She goes above and beyond the work that is asked of her to ensure that her clients are taken care of, including working over hours without compensation and using personal funds to bridge the gap between her clients needs and the unfortunately shrinking budget of IRC. She takes the time to get to know her clients and she makes sure she's doing everything she can to set them up for a new life in San Diego.

I was so disgusted by my experience here and their lack of customer service skills. Yolanda who is an African American woman who sometimes does the front desk was so rude and unhelpful. I saw the way she treated two non English speakers before me and she was completely rude and made it uncomfortable to ask anything. As I waited I was hoping someone else would do my taxes, but my bad luck I got her. I tried ignoring her attitude the whole time, until the end when I asked her a question and she was so rude and tried to make me feel stupid with her response. When I called her out on being rude she continued to argue with me and get aggressive in her voice tone. There was another employee there who heard it all and did not say anything or even apologized. I work for a non-profit and was so disgusted by my experience I cannot imagine what refugees and other people who don't speak English must feel. IRC needs to do better.

I believe walk ins are accepted but u cannot just walk in and get therapy that day. U have to do an initial intake session which is about 2 hours. Then they set u up with a therapist after that. Once you have a therapist if u need to come in between sessions they try their best to accommodate that because they understand life happens.
