Good meat and seafood sections. Produces are little pricey but they are pretty fresh. There are also Japanese snacks, cooking stuff, and drinks! It is a cool place to shop at :)

Great selection, but with Tokyo prices. Best fresh made cream puffs in San Diego! Update: The cream puffs that were gone due to COVID-19, are back!!!! They are just 30% more expensive.

Thank goodness for Nijiya Market. The time and money I save in airline tickets to Japan really adds up. I’m not going to say the bento boxes and take away sushi is exactly on par with those high end ekiben shops in Tokyo Station, but pretty close. What I like most about this market is that it carries those rare, hard to find delicacies like fresh yuzu, sake kasu, yamaimo… Hell I go just for the rice. The focus on this store is premium organic and I find their own brand of rice available in akita komachi, koshi hikari and others to be the best around. There is no substitute. There are cheaper places to buy Asian groceries but the selection and quality suffer. Been going here for over fifteen years now. They have earned my five stars

This is the authentic Japanese grocery store one goes to for the best Japanese seasonal food items, and for the best Customer service. Their deli has sushi, sashimi, salads, cooked bento noodle, and rice dishes, also pick up the free quarterly Japanese Gourmet Gochiso Magazine for many authentic recipes. I have been going here since 2001

I don't know jiggly cake. Nijiya sells their cakes named by Kobo from los Angel. Need the specifications for the cake. If you are looking for the cheese cake, go to Ralph market. You can buy it at $6.00. Now.
Yes. It's in the area that they sell the sashimi.
Sake available but for the brand what do you said I am not sure...

Don't known about Chinese egg noodles in Nijiya Japanese supermarket. They do sell fresh (in the fridge packaged from elsewhere) Japanese soba/ramen. For Chinese lo mein, if not in Nijiya try Lucky Seafood (Mira Mesa) or Ranch 99 instead.
Nijiya Market is Japanese store. Sell Japanese food and goody. If the oriental market or the Asian Market are looking for. Then, you can find Chinese,Korea foods and etc . If you're looking for Chinese food, nijiya market is wrong place to go.
I don't remember Salux there but there is another brand. I was at Zion a few weeks back and i picked one up. I usually get mine at seafood city though.
