The Blackwell Inn and Pfahl Conference Center

We stayed at the Blackwell Inn on the executive floor. The room was spacious and well decorated. I loved the bed. The air conditioning was perfect. The bathroom had all the items needed. (Toothbrush kit, shaving kit, shower bonnet etc). The service was great. The entire hotel was clean and smelled fresh. We used valet. They were fast and efficient. I would return for sure.

Amazing customer service and friendly staff definitely made this a five-star stay. I was in town for a friend's wedding so I spent three nights at the Blackwell in total. On my first night, I had a delicious dinner at the first floor bar area (note that their main restaurant is/was closed because of COVID and you can find up-to-date information on their webpage about availability of amenities). James was an incredible bartender and server - he was so much fun to talk to at the bar. During our stay, we would find that the air conditioning wouldn't kick on when set in auto mode, so for two nights, we set it to constantly blow at high, but it wasn't really blowing cold air. We eventually mentioned this to the front desk staff and they immediately offered us a different room...but when we went back to our room to move our things, our air conditioning was blowing cold air again so we decided to avoid the hassle. My only constructive criticism is that the Blackwell probably needs to look into this issue since it has come up in other comments and our friends also seemed to experience the same issue. The events staff were also lovely, specifically Nick, Maggie, and Liesel. They ensured the bride and groom had a great wedding.

Beautiful place directly across from the entrance to the football stadium. Nice staff, nice rooms, Firm beds, fair water pressure, a little more upscale so generally quiet at night. Probably busy and loud on GameDay, but pleasant on regular evenings.

Me and my wife had been there for couple days and we knew they keep all the students of the OSU with Covid-19 with us in same building ! sharing same facilities without warning so we can decide to stay and pay or leave! Be-careful people as they keeping anyone have positive results in work ! this is a sneaky way to speared the virus in our state !! I'll never do business and exposed my family to danger !
