First time to Grand Central Bakery...was working near by & saw the line for the business clear out the door... upon asking a passer by they said it's the best bakery in town... I will have to agree... they're reasonably priced, loaf of sourdough tasted wonderful and the staff were friendly and very helpful... this building has been around since 1906, started as a grocery store and is now a wonderful bakery...as a part of the "old" vintage Westmoreland! I highly recommend this place to everyone... I will be a return customer for sure...🥖🍞🍩

After a 30 minute wait for our sandwiches, they handed it to us in a brown take out bag because they were getting ready to close in ten minutes. We had a hard time finding a place we wanted to eat in Sellwood where we could sit down and be comfortable. We ordered our food dine-in. They should have told us it was going to take a half hour to make two sandwiches so we would not be able to eat there because the cutoff for eating inside is 10 minutes before close. Maybe that should be posted somewhere. Here's your 20% up front. We threw the food in the car and found somewhere else we could eat. Don't think I'll try the food as it left a bad taste in my mouth and I haven't opened the bag yet. Not my first bad experience here. I just forget how bad it is every few years and try it again.

I stop by here several times a week for bread and pastries and finally decided to stop going. While this bakery has the best bread I’ve ever eaten I just don’t want to deal with the unwelcoming atmosphere anymore. Every time I order something it’s like I’ve inconvenienced the person helping me. Frowns and hostility is all I get from them despite always walking in with a smile and trying by my best to be friendly. It makes me incredibly sad because they have outstanding food
