Kaity is a pleasure to work with and we appreciate that she makes time for us even as President! She clearly explained our options for personal property insurance and gave us the information we needed to decide on the best choice for us. It's lovely to work with someone who shares her depth of knowledge and expertise.

We have been with Atkinson Insurance for over 20 years and they continue to provide excellent service. Our most recent experience was with Kelli, who went the extra mile to find savings on an existing policy. Thank you Kelli.

My husband and I recently moved and changed our insurance to Atkinson Insurance Group. Wow! They are so great to work with. Quick response on any questions we have. They talked with us on different options we never even thought about that has saved us money AND has provided us with better protection. Mallory is our agent and she has been joy to work with. She is positive and like I stated earlier, she responds quickly to emails and phone calls. I also appreciate the snail mail updates they send in the mail over the holidays. GREAT TEAM AND INSURANCE COMPANY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Atkinson Insurance Group | Aug 18, 2021

No. Homeowner policies do not cover damage caused by earth movement. Earthquake coverage is available for an additional premium. Even though there is specialty coverage available for landslides, it is expensive and difficult to find.

What is the difference between “replacement cost” and “actual cash value?”

Atkinson Insurance Group | Aug 18, 2021
Atkinson Insurance Group | Aug 18, 2021

Replacement-cost coverage pays to replace your home and belongings with materials of "like kind and quality" at current prices. Actual cash-value policies reimburse the depreciated value. A replacement-cost policy will usually cost a little more. Some companies no longer offer replacement-cost coverage.

What’s the difference between comprehensive and collision coverage?

Atkinson Insurance Group | Aug 18, 2021
Atkinson Insurance Group | Aug 18, 2021

Comprehensive coverage typically covers damage from fire, theft, explosion, glass breakage, animal collision, and other incidents not covered by collision coverage. Collision is usually defined as colliding with another object or overturning. Most auto policies have lower deductibles for comprehensive coverage than for collision coverage. If you have an older car that may cost more to repair than it is worth, consider the following to save money: - Raise your deductibles - Drop your collision or comprehensive coverage - Drop both your collision and comprehensive coverage
