Do NOT do it to yourself. No parking, rediculously long wait times, terrible communication
Lauren Keenan
The doctor was good, however we waited an hour to be seen after our appointment time. We were told not to bring quiet, respectful and masked children into the waiting room in the future and were essentially told to have them leave because they could not fit in the appointment room. They were only there as I was requested to be there to provide emotional support to my mother as she received some scary test results and we could not get a babysitter. This is in March 2022, after many masking requirements have been relaxed.

This establishment specifically Dr. Matthew Kates is a joke. The lack of empathy and consideration they exhibit to their patients is absolutely unacceptable. I had a friend get recommended by University health services to these "specialists" for treatment of a Peritonsillar abscess and she left worse than she came in. Not only was she disrespected greatly by the staff who downplayed the pain she was in but she was also a victim of uncomfortable unprofessionalism. In the middle of her treatment, with a medical tool still down her throat, Dr. Matthew Kates exited to take a phone call and left the door open. After providing what is best described as mediocre care, the establishment also failed to properly prescribe the medicine she needed. The pharmacy filled a Plan B Contraceptive instead of the medicine she was told she would receive; and the pharmacy claims they never received the prescription she was promised by Dr. Kates. ENT and Allergy Associates is an embarrassing establishment and must seriously reconsider how they treat their patients.

Just to preface this review… my sister was in the hospital for a peritonsillar abscess two weeks ago which caused extreme pain, inability to eat, swallow, or drink. She was diagnosed again with strep throat, causing another abscess and the university health services referred her to this specialist. Everyone in this office is nothing but arrogant and inconsiderate. They left the door to her room wide open, disregarded her pain while she was in tears, and the best of all sent in a prescription for PLAN B instead of the medication they were supposed to prescribe. Spells out an unprofessional ran office who has no communication or sympathy for its patients. Didn’t know plan b was the cure for peritonsillar abscesses!!!
