This place has no need for good reviews. It needs to close at 2pm in order to recuperate from being bum-rushed by adoring customers. I spent more than $30 but I also ordered the most expensive item on the menu and bought a loaf of sourdough bread to go. I bought the loaf to spread this phenomenal experience throughout the rest of my week. It’s a large crusty loaf of sourdough so my plan is to finish it off by making French toast and croutons if it turns hard before I have a chance to eat it all. In the future I plan to stop by to at least pickup a loaf and probably one of their phenomenal looking chocolate croissants when I don’t have the time to stay and eat. I sat at the bar across from the kitchen window and everything looked so good it made it difficult for me to choose one main course from the menu. When the waiter asked me what I will have I chose the steak and eggs because that happened to be what I was reading about at the time and my thought was ‘how can I go wrong?’ It was outstanding. Next time I will go for either their strawberry blintzes or something involving one of their croissants. If your hungry, you really don’t have to worry about walking away dissatisfied or hungry. I suggest ordering what ever seems the tastiest to you at the moment. This place is a treasure to the community it serves.

This quaint little gem nestled in Cuyahoga Valley on State Street is a breathe of fresh air to the taste buds. Getting on the waitlist early is a must or you could have a long wait time. The owner and staff are very friendly and pleasant. The decor is the atmosphere. If you do not like sitting in close proximity to other diners then this place is not for you. We were there for brunch and boy do they have a variety of choices. Saying you get what you pay for is an understatement. Because it is definitely worth it. We had 4 adults and 1 child in our group and including the tip the check was $150.00. The menu has specials and classic items. I had the Down East Biscuits and Gravy. Let me tell you it was so tasty even with the poached egg . I don't do poached eggs. The little guy got the Old German Apple pancakes. Warning these are the size of the plate so bring your appetite. We had a loaf of Banana bread and a side of the thick bacon. The Chicken Pot Pie Croissant Bowl looked delicious. "THAT" Crepe looked light and fluffy. Lastly we have the most amazing Chicken and Waffles. All of the food was seasoned well. As a matter of fact there wasn't even salt or pepper on the tables. That's amazing. In closing they have a patio with 6 tables in it, they have a killer menu, and the hours are 8am to 2 pm Monday thru Sunday. It was a perfect way to start off our day!!!

Not sure how I've never left a review here yet. I've been frequenting Blue Door for years now. Honestly, nothing has even come close to touching this place for more reasons than one. Absolutely top notch on every level. The owner is awesome. He's great with customers and keeping his restaurant a place people wait hours for. Their head chef is just..... *chefs kiss*. Absolute talented sweet heart. It's not rare to see him walking through the dining room checking on guests. It's just such a welcoming place. All the staff is incredible. I've never had an experience less than perfect. And I haven't even gotten to the food yet. Lord have mercy. I will say, the prices are more than your average breakfast spot. HOWEVER, one taste & experience there will show you why. Their food is truly a work of art, created woth local & organic ingredients. The portions are enough to feed two or three people. And they're anything from the norm. The specials are always to die for and so unique. If you're a simple person, they have literally the best thick bacon, eggs, English muffins (made in house) I've ever had. I could honestly go on forever, but I hope you'll take the time to find out for yourself!

Absolutely incredible. Best pancakes I have ever had. Service was great! The croissants are amazing. Love this place! Also we didn’t have to wait today, but they get very busy very quickly so we went right at open.

No. Absolutely not. I’m curious why you would ask this? Did you not have a satisfactory experience perhaps? If so I would of course be very interested to know.
Hello. Every employee wears a mask, all the time. We have installed numerous plexiglass partitions throughout our dining room. We request that patrons do not wait in the restaurant. We provide hand sanitizer. We practice social distancing
Im sorry. I’ll fix that! Our drive through opens at 0600. We have most pastry available at this time.
Yes absolutely. We love dogs! But they have to be nice ☺️☺️☺️
Actually Susan, there are. We currently have the "Olympian" breakfast which is entirely gluten free as is our house made granola. you are also able to modify dishes like our steak and eggs as well as our corned beef hash to be gluten free by substituting fruit or greens for toast. Finally, as of tomorrow we will also be offering all of our crepes in "gluten free" variety by using organic and local oat flour. I hope this helps!
No, not specifically. For this menu we are serving Jägerschnitzel, so this is definitely German. In the bakery, we have Stollen right now - so also German. I myself learned German before English and my parents are both from Germany - so there is this influence in the dishes that we prepare. But we've done Huevos Rancheros, Spaghetti and Meatballs, and Hungarian Goulasch as well - so really, we like most things. Hopefully this helps.
