The best home DIY store in town. Usually reasonable prices. Customer service needs the most improvement. Many employees do not even know what they carry or where it is. This basic info should be learned in training and within the first couple of days working here. There is an over abundance of employee ignorance of these things at this location.

I would like to recognize 3 exceptional employees at the HD in Sandpoint. 1st is Sue the cashier that works right outside the lumber, 2nd is Alisha that helps out with pretty much everything and 3rd Cris that works on helping people with self check out. These 3 ladies always go above and beyond to create a great experience. I shop at Home Depot almost on a daily basis and these ladies are always helpful.

Usually got what I need I just order then go pick up Easy that way. Good for wood or hardware alot of products i didnt know they had also there a competitive price along with every one else. Some good prices on trees once in awhile . Great for employment and the towns economy.

We always shop here because we are disabled veterans and get a discount. Recently Home Depot changed their veteran discount process by requiring we register online instead of just showing I.D. We received no email notification on this and therefore lost our discount at the register. The clerk informed us we could register online easily but they need to remember that older veterans do not all have smart phones and older veterans are not all tech savvy. Please offer to register veterans FOR them at the register. We were also told we could bring in our receipt and get back that discount but still, please inform ahead of time or register veterans in store. It was not easy for a rattled, upset veteran to register. It was frustrating.
