I got over night bag I needed. Take with me. 2 weeks later from handling the bag. I got from the thrift store . I got Scabies mite. NOT FUN . I had to threw away the bag . And deep clean my home because of the bag. I am not buying no more bags from the store. Still getting treated for the mites. Don't wish on no one. Mites can live in one bag up to one month. If that bug been on plane or hotel room or over seas Really not happy I don't know if I am going back to thrift store

I used to like shopping here and didn't mind the excessive disorder because the prices were reasonable for the used items. Over the last couple of months, prices have gone up exorbitantly. (example- a simple wicker basket that used to sell for 1 or 2 dollars is now 5 or 6) This might be understandable if the store itself was also coming up, but the only difference is that now, the abundance of overpriced and broken stuff disorganized everywhere is practically out of control because no one in their right mind would pay what the sticker says. Now I see they have started 50% off on Sundays, so rather than just price the goods at what donated used goods should be, they will just have everyone come in on one day a week to clear out the mess? Why even bother being open on those other days? Furthermore, there is a short haired woman who is so incredibly rude, I can't even fathom how she tolerates her own self. I am always very kind and respectful, and very much enjoyed interacting with the gentleman with the long white beard who used to run the store. The two women I see in there now are so unfriendly and sour in their demeanor. Don't dare distract them from slamming items into carts to ask politely to be checked out-- You will be curtly instructed to "just ring the bell". "Ok, I rang it twice". "Well ring it harder". Sorry Veterans thrift. I want to support your program, and will still donate, but its a drag to shop the store with the clerks being so nasty to shoppers, and the store in such extreme disarray.

In a nutshell: • No heat in the store because store doesn't comply with state standards needed to allow temperature control. (There are open gaps in the floor and unfinished tiling.) • Old food selection to the left upon entering the store. Piles of bread and canned foods. • Cashier is situated in a makeshift tent (in the store) that supplies heat only for those in the tent (See bullet point one). • Sporting goods, tools, toys, and electronic section is messy, dirty, and a hazard. Most are very old and unusable needing to be thrown away. • Upon entering the store, to the right is where sorting is happening. Loud clanking and trash bins full of goods to be discarded/ sorted. • Book section is unorganized and poorly lit. • Lots of cheap stuff. Most items could use a good quick scrub for presentation. • A lot use the donation carts outside as their dumping grounds. The store spends about $10k a month in trash fees throwing away broken and junk items donated. *For those throwing their junks in there donation carts: STOP! • Customer service is not all that, and can be due to understaffing and work needed to sort, price, etc. I've been here a few times for dirt cheap yard stuff that I can throw away after a project. Hard to rate it a 1 considering the hassle employees go through, but being honest on rating it as a Thrift Store overall.

Not so friendly staff. Woman behind the counter started yelling at a lady that came in from the outside with her purse. Woman behind the counter screaming no purses allowed you must take it to your car only bring your wallet and cell phone in. Apparently terrified that somebody is going to steal something. What a shame. I have never heard of leaving your purse in a car until this thrift store. This place was nasty. This is the first thrift store I felt like I needed to take a shower when I walked out. Before getting in my car. Neither my wife or I felt that this is a very good representation for veterans.

Yes, anyone is more than welcome to shop there. Thats how they make money to help the vets.
I am volunteering off and on at the satellite store on Trent and Pines. Kevin the Manager, starts out there in the morning and usually gets a little behind to come in and open the store on Assembly and Wellesley. He cuts it close at times, and sometimes he can be a little late. But he is normally there everyday for you and mostly...for the Vetrran. Please be patient, as we and the Diabled Veterans enjoy serving you...so help them back. Donate items, minus tvs and matteresses, donate vehicles with slight problems to vets in need for a tax write off. Everybody wins when you give to Disabked Vets.
We are practicing Social Distancing, and a Mask policy. Gloves, Masks and Sanitizer are provided at the front door, and volunteers/employees have been instructed to wash/sanitize their hands upon handling merchandise.
Not that I know of but the volunteers are the nicest folks plus great deals
Not sure, I'd give them a call.
