My mother was here. I witnessed multiple medication errors first hand when she was in independent living. When she was in memory care, I went to Maine 8/2020 for 1 week as called for end of life. During this one week, on the weekend the facility couldn't accommodate family in person visits b/c of staffing issues. My mom fell while I was window visiting, she had no way of alerting anyone to help her, neither did I. On multiple window visits during this one week period she had the same cloths on the next day, one visit she was in her wheelchair with no socks and shoes and pushed behind a partition to be separated from everyone until they saw we arrived. After being told I couldn't visit inside without negative COVID test I was offered PPE to go in by uninformed staff. The memory care facility made no effort to help improve her with communications during window visits (headset/noise reduction), nor did they use outdoor covered areas for the visitors. You had to phone and book times to window visit, after multiple tries of nobody answering the phone, and then when you were finally able to connect they double booked visits on multiple occasions. I saw an amazing improvement w/ my mom when the hospice nurse was with her. **About 1 month before this visit I alerted APS of concerns. I have guilt for the family/families that have put their trust in this facility since. **The week in August I visited twice/day.

Yes this is a beautiful building and setting. But tha is as far as it goes. The staff are uncaring and incompetent. My father has dementia and was admitted 6 weeks ago Because he would wander off at home. So for his protection he was admitted. He could talk, walk, smile and laugh. A few days ago he "fell" and was sent to the hospital. The doctor found TWO OPEN SORES ON HIS HEELS. THE INFECTION IS SO BAD IT IS NOW IN HIS BLOOD AND BONE! My father is at this point in so much pain that he has to be sedated. He cannot communicate with us and probably never will be able to. I LESS THAN 6 WEEKS , He fell 10 times, somehow got sores on his heels, contracted mercer, and is no longer aware of his surroundings! THEY HAVE TAKEN MY FATHER FROM HIS FAMILY IN THE WORST WAY POSSIBLE. DONT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES HERE.
