AMAZING!!! I was fortunate enough to come across a vacancy here and had the pleasure of spending a night with my adult son who was visiting from Colorado. The Inn Keepers and staff are top notch and the experience was one we hope to enjoy again soon for more than one night. For a trip back in time to the simpler life this is where you need to visit. Keep up the great work.

Its ok the views are nice af, the rooms tho ya so this is on an island so u have to take the portland to peaks island ferry just get over here and then from that its a 15 minute walk if u did spend 82 bucks to ferry ur car over as well and good luck finding an uber lyft taxi after 8pm but onto the hotel itself, so the rooms are small but you have enough space, there is no tv no ac no complimentary breakfast, the shower is a closet in the bathroom bring ur own soap and shampoo nothing but a towel is provided for you. So ya my recommendations that would make this a more enjoyable stay better would be to hook up every room wit acs and tvs and maybe offer a shuttle service to and from the ferry

August 14, 2019. “1st visit; we could only stay for 2 nights. And know in the future we’ll want a longer stay. We’ll request the same room; it will be on or near the full moon. The moon illuminated the sky. It’s light shown across the water right below our window. Our cell video has the sound of the surf as it hit the large rocks. Very special. We loved the history, communal dining, shared stories and genuinely friendly and accommodating hosts.” Alison. Carmel, CA

Was just out on the island to take a scenic stroll. Happened upon the Eighth Maine Regiment Memorial and stopped in. The inside of the building is a beautiful rustic feel, and has a very distinct feel. The man who told my friend and I about the building was a descendant of someone who fought with the Eighth. He made us feel very welcome and told us to just look around and enjoy our visit and the beautiful views from the wraparound deck. This was our best stop along our walk, and seems like would be a great place to spend a few nights.

I would say you do not need to take your car over for one night. The island is very very small. There are at least three restaurants within walking distance, granted it's about half a mile? But it's a beautiful walk on a beautiful island. If you want to get crazy you can rent a golf cart for the day, and you can also rent bicycles very close to where the ferry drops you off. You're going to have a great time, it's not fancy but it's one of the coolest places to stay right on the ocean. I'll highly recommend the outdoor shower!!
15 minute walk
