Overall I had a really good experience with the Catalina express. Please make sure to arrive at least 45 minutes to an hour prior to boarding inorder to get your tickets, to park your vehicle ether on the street or in a long term parking lot which is way further than the location and if someone from your group can stay in line to get a better sitting on the boat, while you park your car. I was really greatful that the captain slowed down for everyone to enjoy the playful dolphins swimming alongside the ship. That was an amazing experience.

Tuesday the 12th of April our trip was cancelled due high winds. This is understandable. This company had my reservation with my number but failed to inform me of the cancelation. With the price of gas at $6.00 a gallon and a 60 mile trip, more money down the drain.

Fast, pleasant, efficient way to get to Avalon. It's a well oiled machine. Price is fair. Reservation system is easy. Parking convenient. Week I wanted to go they showed sold out on website so I called and found out they hold on to a few seats so they don't overbook. Lucky me. Snapped up the last tickets. Good time had by all. Kayak at Descanso club is a bargain and a great way to spend two hours. If you're going to rent a golf cart, make a reservation in advance. Counter is jammed when boats disembark.

Great ride. Well done and organized. Staff is very attentive to needs of passengers. The only complaint I have is I bought a bag of pretzels, two huge candy bars and a water and expected to break the $15 dollar mark. No, $7 and I got it all. I expected a better effort to gouge me for my money. They were actually reasonably priced. Note! Make sure you reserve your place and get there about an hour before you leave. If you do, your trip will be twice as good. Plus! YOU'RE GOING TO CATALINA ISLAND! HAPPY SAILING!

I had to call to book my seat last week. It said all seats were full online, which wasn't actually the case. I also saw two passengers with pets. And I didn't see any service animal vests or badges. Im sure they can inform you when you call.
Based on protocols set by Public Utilities Commission and the Department of Transportation, we have reduced capacity to allow for a seat between passengers not traveling together. Couples, groups and families can all sit together. All passengers are required to wear a mask while in our terminal, waiting to board and throughout your time on the vessel.
