The first pic I saw shows the old location on Lafayette Rd. The shop is now accessible from Banfield Rd, and from Constitution. It can be reached by elevator at parking level, going down one floor. It also has the main entrance to the right and under the Office Bldg. The easier way to locate the shop is to turn, from Banfield Rd onto Constitution then make the first left into the parking lot. The Office Bldg is in front of you. One can more easily reach the Office Bldg from Rt 1/Lafayette Rd by turning onto Constitution and driving its length to the last parking lot on the right, just before you reach Banfield Rd. If you miss the lot, turn right onto Banfield Rd, then make the first right into another parking lot, and work your way around the Bldg to the Constitution parking side, opposite from where you just entered. Jill is outgoing and helpful, as are her employees and teachers. She has a small shop with LOTS of sewing items, fabric, classes, outreach services to donate to, and has a repairman who can fix even non-computerized machines, as long as the parts are still available. The best way to find the shop's new location is to go a few times and find which way works best for you. Have fun!

Jill is amazing and the service guy is beyond brilliant. I’ve had my 80’s era singer that got me started sewing come back from service like a DIFFERENT MACHINE…suddenly smooth, silent, and deadly. I brought my sister’s singer 401a in for a full rehabilitation..beautiful results! 2020 came around and I wanted to try a serger. By then I’d moved a thousand miles away, but Jill had a lovely second hand Kenmore (Janome) serger, all freshly serviced, that she recommended as a great beginner machine. She was spot on! It was packed up and mailed to me very reasonably and I am serging away! I certainly know where I’ll be going when it comes time to upgrade to one of those gorgeous babylock machines. Not only is the service here great, but the people are a font of knowledge, advice, and supplies for beginners. No one does it better! I only wish I could bring my current sewing machines in for service!

I haven't even gotten my sewing machine and serger back from their repair visit yet, but I have to gush about the service I've received thus far. The repairman called and spoke with me for more than 20 minutes, getting a history of my machines, the kind of use they've gotten, general upkeep, and then explained everything he would be doing to service them. I've never gotten such a thorough rundown of the process before, and appreciated every minute he put into it. I'll update this when the machines come home, but based on our conversation, I have every confidence that they will be as good as when they were new, if not better. I sew for a living and wish I'd discovered SSQ earlier!

My experience here has always been OUTSTANDING. The owner and staff are always helpful, there when you need help and they allow you all the time you need to browse and ask questions. Classes are often based on customer requests - both in the training room with other students or scheduled 1-on-1 specialty classes upon request. Covid-19 aside, staff & customers respectfully wear masks, socially distance, talented technicians to service/repair machines and current new machines for sale. Don’t hesitate to stop in, see for yourself and receive great customer service from friendly and knowledgeable staff.

She normally will donate them to a charity or hang them on a wall for a display for a short time if it is something relative to her store. She doesn't buy them, just sells all the necessary things to make them!
