Haven't been here since 2015, and quickly remembered why. The winery works on a reservation only system, which meant that as uninformed last minute Visitors (we just followed the signs from route 1) we were stuck outside in 95 degree heat. We were seated at a nice bistro table by itself with a fan to the side, upon moving it two inches we were scolded by servers for trying to adjust the flow of a fan. None of the other tables around us were occupied. The same server then appeared to be sunshine and rainbows once she realized we were seated for dining. I overheard those same servers complaining about the heat when I made it inside to use the restroom. The servers spent maybe 10 minutes total outside in the hour and forty five minutes I was there. I would have liked to have bought a bottle or two to take home, but my entire experience was enough to change my mind. I also had the joy of watching a supervisor tape up a sign and tell employees not to open a particular door because the heat, only for the employees to open it as soon as he walked away. I included photos of multiple indoor seating areas that we were not allowed to use. There were no new arrivals in our time dining there. Skip this one, go visit James river cellars in Ashland/glen allen

I have no words! This place is breathtaking! I could go on all day writing about our experience! Our server, Taylor, was amazing. Her suggestions were spot on! We got the best view of the vineyard just to ourselves! The food, the wine, the atmosphere, everything was all we needed to close out an amazing anniversary getaway weekend! Thank you!

Beautiful winery in proximity to DC. Good wine and great food. Very friendly service. The bistro is a romantic and light dining area, good for friends or a date.

This winery is amazing. My husband and I were fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in a fantastic Yelp Elite gathering at Potomac Point Winery and it was awesome. The wine, food, views, and people really make this winery special. We really enjoyed the guided tasting with the owner as well as the food pairings with a glass of our favorite, the heritage red wine. The wine cupcakes were unbelievable...so moist and flavorful. The cozy tents were a huge bonus on a lovely fall evening. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. We would definitely comeback again and plan to bring friends and family. Thank you all so much for a great experience and we hope to see you again soon. :-)
