Fantastic artifacts and history on the walls to look at BUT the food was horrible. Ordered a ribeye to be cooked medium-rare, got a well-done piece of bland leather in return. Ordered bourbon chicken wings and the sauce was good, but meat horrible. Didn't finish either appetizer or main course. Price was very high for the portion and quality, very disappointing experience.

The Globe and Laurel is an historic landmark in Stafford. It started out in downtown Quantico in the 1970's, then moved to Triangle after a fire destroyed the original site. It finally moved to the current location several years ago. Major and Mrs Rick Spooner truly made it into a wonderful restaurant and historic tribute to the Marine Corps. The Globe and Laurel survived a rocky transition after The Major retired, but is now open under a new owner and management which show great promise of a smashing revival! We arranged for a group of 30 to meet for dinner there last week. Everyone had a wonderful time, thanks to the very welcoming staff. Although the staff was a bit short handed, they made sure our group was well served with good food and wonderful ambiance. Marines attending our affair included one WW II vet, several Vietnam vets along with wives family and friends, one Navy Corpsman as well as a couple of Basic School Lieutenants. What a great place for such a group to gather! We highly recommend giving The Globe and Laurel a try. My husband and I are going back for lunch this week. The food was good!

This was the worst experience I've had at a restaurant in a long time. The service was brutal. I ordered the chicken parm and it came out about the consistency of shrimp. Had to send it back. The only bright spot was the French onion soup.

This is my new favorite place! The ambiance is nice, family oriented with a rich military history. Although the menu is not exhaustive what they make is very good. Met the chef today who made chicken and waffles with the chicken cooked inside of the waffle 😋 plus some chicken on the side. I had the fried fish and grits and have never had grits with a cajun spin on it. Delish! I've been back 3 times this week! And manager, Wayne Kelly is personable and kind.
