Definitely a step up from what it used to be. We launch our boat here often and it is good for the cost. Nice drop location but the current can lead to tricky launches/loads sometimes. Haven't tried other services or shore fishing but it is usually not empty if that accounts for something.

Great place to go Surf Fishing. Blue Cats, Striper Bass, Perch, Spots. Great for out-of-town fisherman no license required. There is a $5 all day fishing fee 7am- 7pm. Just drive up and fish!!!

They are definitely improving. Still needs to be cleaned up. Better attention to grounds would improve the look. Too many geese and cats.

In 2008 we ran our boat aground at the entrance to the marina. We were between the markers and going at no wake speed. A passing crab boater was nice enough to pull us off. Found out later the marina had closed and had not had the channel dredged. Pooh on them!!!
