Great roads to run on. Forest service has finally started to maintain the Willis River Trail, so now there's good singletrack too. Wish they would take better care of the CMT and not let the loggers destroy it.

The quiet trails were out favorite part of the visit to the State Forest and park. Lots of wild life around the lake and plenty of swallowtails, our State butterfly.

Cumberland State Forrest Great trails for hiking & trail riding. Bear Creek State Park Very well kept. Nice camping spots & cabins to rent. Picnic areas, beach spot on the lake. There are boats to rent as well as a snack shack @ the lake. Plenty of hiking trails & the park offers scheduled activities during busy season.

Beautiful, rustic trails. Solitude (when it isn't hunting season). Swinging Bridges.

Call the Virginia Dept. Of Inland Game & Fisheries and report them. They will send out a Law Enforcement Agent to either warn them, or issue a ticket, or arrest them. Regulations state that they cannot trespass on private property, and they must be at least 100 yards away from the nearest paved road and/or building structure for them to discharge a firearm; unless they're on their own private property. Do not confront them, because some of them may be illegally poaching.
Yes to both but you need to have a state forest use permit. You can get one where you get hunting license for $16 (I think no more than $18)
Not seen any this year. Have seen in previous years
