They do not honor warranty claims. 2 years in after full roof replacement by their A team from Virginia, a large 10ft long section of shingles at the Hip of roof has peeled off. This means they did not nail every shingle for 10 ft to peel off. I called in for warranty claim, date was set for someone to fix and no one ever showed. Its been 2 months since my initial contact, I have sent several emails and voicemails with no further response from them. I'm now left with calling a local roofer to fix the warranty issue and inspect the rest of the roof. I would Not recommend this company!

Our neighborhood had storm damage. Lots of companies came to our door to offer to look at our roof. We did not feel comfortable working with them. Then our next door neighbors recommended we speak with David Leckie from Colonial Remodeling. From the beginning we were comfortable with the process. Most of the companies wanted money instead of paying attention to our problems. David came and inspected our roof. He talked to us about the issues. He did not guarantee it would be covered but made sure we understood what was wrong, what the process was, and what his role was. David sat down with me when I called the insurance company and was here when they came to inspect the roof. I feel like in every instance he went above and beyond! We felt like we were the only customers he had. His customer service was excellent. He was available throughout the process to help us and never just passed us on to the next person. His dedication and support were amazing. We are so blessed we selected Colonial Remodeling. I have recommended them to friends and family. In this uncertain time David was safe when he met with us and I always felt that he not only respected our needs but our property as well. You can't go wrong working with this company. We had a fantastic experience. David is a superstar!!!!!!!!!

Avoid at all costs. They contract everything out. They contract with unskilled workers who have to come back repeatedly. Storm damage that occurred in April, 2020 is just now being finished. Lack of good subcontractors and lack of communication within the company and to the customer is ultimately lacking. Knowledge of how long something actually takes to get it right seems to be their biggest problem as well as hiring subcontractors that do know how to do the job correctly. Their subcontractors caused more damage to our home than the actual storm. We have had mishap after mishap....their subcontractor caused a ceiling leak, the roof job was deemed poorly after inspection and had to be redone, trash and nails left in our yard both times, poor caulking around doors, unable to put on a door knob and door key pad correctly,....and the list goes on. Although the team managers are empathetic, the company leadership does not seem to care. I do not recommend their services for anything that requires attention to detail.

Should I file an insurance claim before or after I call your company?

The best thing to do would be to contact us first, that way we can come out and do a free storm damage inspection prior to your adjustor meeting date.

What does "Elite Preferred" mean. I saw it on your James Hardie page?

Elite Preferred is the highest ranking status from James Hardie. Only a select few in our area are Elite Preferred. James Hardie siding is not an easy install. It is very important that you choose your contractor carefully. The product is gorgeous and very high quality; however, if you choose a contractor who isn't familiar with the specific specs of install then you can have problems in the future.
