Did not realize Mammoth cave was book on line so gave this cave a try and definitely glad we did. Been through many caves at mammoth cave and this cave held up to those with five stars. Amazing tour guide and awesome experience for all grandparents to my 5 and 3 year olds. Give this family owned cave a try the price is also good!

In comparison to mammoth cave, this is way smaller. There are two tours, 1 to the lower level, and 1 to the upper. We did the lower level. I do not remember our tour guides name, but he was informative and entertaining. The cave itself was very well kept, and had lots of nice formations. I would definitely recommend stopping by this nice little cave.

We absolutely loved our cave experience here! So close to the cave, personal touring experience, and fantastic formations. Other caves have impressive features, but this was so close, so neat, definitely worth your itinerary!! Also has a unique “eye of the needle” formation that we’d never seen before. Formations like drapery, bacon, soda straws, columns, stalactites and mites, and more!! There were even some pieces of cave formations that had been saved for us to handle and feel what the density and texture was! We’ll definitely be going back and bringing more friends!

Absolutely beautiful cave system! My family, including a 6 and 7 year old went on the upper cave tour. Our tour guide, Jana, was amazing! We all adored her. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. We will be back to do the lower cave tour. I loved that they had game to play and unique, fun statues.

5 and 7 will be okay but I'd recommend holding onto the 2 year old, just dont let them touch anything :)
Credit and debit cards are accepted, but there is a 3% service charge. No checks, but cash is always good.
A tour is stated to be a hour. We were in the cave for 90 minutes. Everything is on a path with rails. The only thing to keep in mind with children is to NOT TOUCH the formations, as that will stop them from growing. We had 4 people in our group. More can easily fit and would not hinder progess. Tickets were $13 per person.
Yes
You are Guided through the cave and they take you way way down there it's very in-your-face stuff
There may be a similar attraction at Lost River Cave if I remeber correctly. But don't forget to visit Big Mike's Rock Shop. Great for kids.
