Huge selection and decent prices. I wouldn't say overly friendly. I would say they tolerate your visit. I'm still giving 4 stars for the huge selection of cool rocks and minerals.

Great place to go if you like glass, rock, geodes, etc. The rock part of the store had some really gorgeous pieces within. Their prices are not bad, and when we went they had a 50% off sale on "book end" rocks/crystals which made the prices very appealing and extremely fair. The other gift shop part was also a fun place with lots of different tourist types of gifts, a larger selection than most, and their prices were competitive also. If you're in the area and are looking for some similar items I would recommend making the drive out to Big Mike's and hang out with "mo" for a bit!

This shop is Amazing! A definite must see, if you are into rocks , fossils, and really cool stuff! Mo, the mosasaurus is worth seeing too!

This was such a road side treasure! If you love classic attractions, mosasaurs, and crystals then this is the place for you! I grew up loving road side exhibits like this one, and I was as delighted now as I was back then! Our guide for the Mystery House tour was a delight, and he honestly seemed like a friend going through with us. This was my first Mystery House and it did not disappoint, we laughed the whole way through. The TWO gift shops on sight had such amazing things. As someone who loves rocks and minerals it was great to see such variety in stone type, color, and size! My personal favorites of this stop were Big Mo in both his fossil and statue forms. Mosasaurs are among my favorite aquatic reptiles so this was amazing to see in person! Big Mike's has something for everyone, and it is well worth the stop. Don't skip this one because the road trip adventures of yesteryear are still alive and well at Big Mike's Rock Shop
