Service was great. Never had an empty glass. Very friendly. Clean. Food was cold when all dishes arrived. Hush puppies were very salty as well as white beans. Would have been such better had food been warm. We visited at 7:00pm on a Saturday night. There were only about three or four other tables seated.

All good things...the food was really tasty and our server Lisa was fabulous! Definitely more of an upscale place for the area but if you're looking for fine dining, this place beats a chain restaurant. I always like supporting local places so we went here for a birthday dinner. Our teenager loved the alfredo with shrimp, husband got a perfectly cooked steak, and I had some superb chicken with cremini mushrooms. Salads were also very fresh. This place is a definite gem.

We read the great reviews and really wanted to like this restaurant but were very diappointed in the presentation and quality of the food served. The prices are those of a fine restaurant but the appearance of the food on the plate and taste fell way short of expectations. I compare dinner in a fine restaurant with dinner on a cruise ship where every meal is a masterpiece in appearance as well as taste. Six of us dined here at Samuels on a Thursday night and none of us were even close to being impressed by the appearance or quality of our meals. Too bad. Sincerely hope they strive to improve on presentation and quality.
