Rick “Fig” Fignetti is a longboard surf legend known worldwide for his graceful carves and progressive style. He knows how to read waves, and he knows how to read a surfer’s needs as well. I had gone to two other shops, to finally find Fig from a pop out importer. I’ve known about Figs shop for many years, but was surprised to learn he’s the last old school boardshop proprietor in downtown Huntington Beach. What’s more? Every excited promise he made about the board he picked for me was spot on!! Not one exaggeration. Truly honest and impeccable salesmanship. He asked a handful of questions, sized me up, and sent me off with the one of the nicest boards I’ve ever owned. Check him out. He’s even got shapers on deck if you need something special. I can remember many years ago, when growing up near the water with my buddies, we befriended Fig. I then had him shape a couple of boards for me, which I still have to this very same day. My 9'2 is a phenomenal stick! She rides extremely smooth every time without fail! She digs deep on every cut! I must thank Rick Fignetti and his team for doing such great business, possessing great renovation and development when in the shop shaping sticks!
