theres 10 parking spots for the "biggest skatepark in cali" and now its 150 a year for non residents. they said its to recoup money for service and maintenance. BECAUSE CONCRETE NEEDS TO BE GROOMED APARENTLY. they wouldnt be out so much money if they didnt pay people to sit there and take money from little kids....which is all you'll find here because no one with a job wants to spend the money to come here. you shouldn't have to pay to enjoy a public park.

beautiful park -- but uptight scene. paid 45 for for my husband and kids to skate (bc park is only free for lake forest residents) while we visit southern cali, and they would not let me in. rule is no spectators in park. I normally love watching my family skate, taking pictures of their moves...instead I'm stuck outside, staring at the fence. my whole family was bummed. definitely a disappointing day for us. place feels like like a pool, catering to swim lessons (in this case skate camp) for little j kids. what a shame.. bowls are amazing! just don't bring any non skaters. they will have to wait in the car.

Great park, plenty of room in the actual skate park but the parking is terrible. Most of the guys working there are very helpful but a few could use a lesson in humility, especially one of the guys working the front window with red hair and short red beard...he almost plowed my youngest son over on his skateboard and he curses alot and seems wired??..if he happens to be working there when you arrive, I would highly recommend keeping your kids away from him and supervision the entire time your kids are there.

Yes. Helmets required. im not sure if pads qre required, but recommended.
There are a couple of benches at the entrance and at the end near the street skating are, but neither gives a good view of the pools ans bowls which don't really have any place with a good view. The staff will not let you in without a waiver as a non skater so thoae areas are near impossible to spectate. Waivers are cheap. Get some pads, a helmet and a board and skate with your kids if they are little. The staff and guests are low key and you'll have more fun than a poor view spectating.
There is an annual fee for non-Lake Forest residents of $15. Lake Forest residents are free with identification.
No
If your over 18.. You can use a helmet and no pads... under 18 helmet and pads required
