Great fishing spot .wish there was more good company and less fishing line and hooks left on the pier. the people who work at the restaurant (area )do a great job of cleaning up and keeping away the"" un wanted""guests but those whom leave on the boat that takes off south west from the pier early morning and throughout the day drive their boat extremely way too fast to and from the dock (creates wakes not good for my line unless your paying for my fishing gear )and don't pull up fast and PRETEND "oh sorry I'll pay for that " ...tired of hearing it honestly because you honestly don't mean it, actions speak louder than words if your going to be military act military.if your not military atleast act civilian people are people we need to rethink and retrain ourselves to love and respect boundaries again with love ❤️

It's been a while since I've been to shelter island but they're doing a ton of stuff to make it nicer and more appealing! It's much nice now than how I remembered it. If you're looking for a nice relaxing walk I highly recommend doing it here! It was beautiful!

I don't know. Probably because of 4th of July weekend. It seems that locals don't leave the pier at all. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
No.
The pier itself is always open. As far as the shop located on the pier, I can't say for sure.
Not sure if Harbor Police Will Run You Off ,,no fishermen for weeks but the pier can be walked and believe parking lot still closed
Yes you can
Fishing licenses are not required when fishing from any pier.
Fishes prefer freshly cut fish or squids for baits.
Yes, it's at the southern end of shelter Island, 1401 Shelter Island Drive. It's for shelter Island visitors.
No license is required for fishing off any public pier in CA
