These are Gorgeous to say the least. They are huge and though you shouldn't swim near them, there were people there and i was completely envious 😅. Highly recommended! The access to see these beauties is super easy, i would even say handicap accessible. If you want a better view you can go down some stairs & if you want to get up close and personal then you need to do some hiking...which in my opinion, was totally worth it.

Beautiful waterfalls!! Parking was full on Saturday, but you can park your cars on the side of the road. Twin fall is visible from right across the parking area. There are benches to sit and enjoy this view. You can walk up to the front of these waterfalls, and it's a must do activity. It's beautiful when u get there, closer to the falls. It was mild activity for us. But can be moderate-strenuous if you cannot walk on rocky surfaces. Other than the falls, there is a down river loop for 1.6 miles which is mentioned in some of the boards. This is completely optional, as this trail is beyond the falls, walking alongside the river, has two viewpoints and back you are at the falls. No need for water shoes, but take good shoes, as you'll be walking on rocks(when approaching the falls). No restrooms or visitors center near the parking lot, advice to carry your water bottles.

Very interesting waterfall. Water actually flows through the rockface from water that seeps through from an adjacent river that had been damned. Man-made but very beautiful. There is a road you can take to park and hike down to the falls. Short walk from parking area and no fees to view the falls. Be cautious as water conditions can change quickly here. No swimming at the falls. We brought our kayaks and from the state park beach area we paddled up to view the falls and small cascades that come out the sides of the cliff wall. Water is calm until you reach the falls. About a 30min. paddle from beach area to falls. If you get off onto the rocks be cautious as snakes like to hang out in the trees and sun on the rocks. My 16yr. Loved it! Definitely something to check out. No fee to enter park or use beach area. If you are interested in kayaking there is a local kayak rental place.

Beautiful view steps from the parking lot! We drove 2 1/2 hours from Huntsville, and enjoyed exploring the state park on the other side of the river as well. Be careful on the rocks near the water, lock all valuables in the car, and pack a picnic lunch as there are not many food options nearby.

Yes
Top of the falls is easy. A 4 year old could easily do it. The lower is a little more tricky
No, there is no entrance fee.
Cabins yes, not 100% sure on hot tubs
Yes I think so
There are actually several convenient lookout spots from the main parking area. Its not a terrible walk down, for some even better views.
Every day
