This place holds a special spot in my heart because of my family's historical ties to the area and because my grandfather helped to build it. I can recall crossing over the wooden bridge as a child. I only hope that one day the bridge will be reopened as a walking bridge.

TVA please open the dam at least to pedestrian traffic. Before 9/11 you could walk/drive across the dam. It is a great tourist viewing area. I use to run across this dam. So cool. No real reason for it to be closed to the public.

Got to see the dam in all its glory. Rained a few days ago so the water was rally flowing. Because of that Great Falls was fuller than I have ever seen coming to the park. It's too bad you can't go over the dam, probably because I'm certain someone would find a way to fall off of it. But it would be great to see the water from that perspective. Otherwise it is nice to just sit and listen to the water rage on beneath you.
