First time giving plasma, and I didn't know what to expect. I showed up right at 7am, but I missed the sign for "First Time Donors" at the front (directly to the right when you enter the building), so my first time in-processing took longer than it should. However, everyone was very nice and quick to respond, telling me how long things should take and really taking time to be personable and friendly while explaining every part of the process and answering any questions I had. I'm sad I didn't make note of the names of the ladies who helped me check-in at the beginning; they were lovely. But, Bubba on the donor floor was very nice and again explained things very well and answered any questions I had. At the end of my donation, I was on my last draw and started to feel faint, and he and another lady on the floor fanned me and got me feeling better in just a few minutes. I'm not an anxious person around needles or giving blood, and they explained that it probably happened because it took so long for me to go through in-processing compared to what I had eaten before I came in. This is something I shouldn't have to worry about going forward because from now on I can just check-in on my phone and get right to donating after a short vital check. I recommend getting there early, checking in on your phone, and following the signs. It was well worth even the extra time it took me this first time ($110 for 2.5 hours of filling out paperwork and laying on a table for 45 minutes), and I look forward to continuing to donate more at this location going forward. The compensation is good for the time spent, and the feeling of being able to help people in need is just the cherry on top. Really great staff as well!

I really enjoyed my experience. The staff was very nice (and patient), they got me right in for my evaluation, and made everything run very smoothly.. When they took me back for donation, they explained everything completely! I will definitely go back!

Getting registered for the first donation took a while, but as soon as that finished everyone was super quick! The stick was very easy and the donation went quick. My disconnect was also very easy and I appreciated that she told me what day I could come back so I already knew! All of the staff members I met were super sweet.

The whole experience was wonderful. I was nervous prior to going in but from the time the reception staff greeted me until I left after my first donation, all the staff was kind, helpful and very reassuring. The facility was very clean, bright, and welcoming. I will recommend this place to others for sure!

Current rate is $70 for the first 5 visits if completed within 35 days. That's at minimum $350. You can also earn more by donating twice a week on a regular basis.
It has to be 101 or less
It is plasma. So neither of those. Plasma is the watery part of what constitutes blood.
I would not reccomend it. When you donate whole blood it takes up to 8 weeks for it to go back up if you go in to donate plasma we take your rbc out also and you could end up passing out.
Donation pay for new or lapsed donor is 60, 60, 40, 40, and 70 but it has to be with in 45 days... as an employee this is the payout for new donors.
So the payout varies based on location and usually based on weight (which affects how much plasma you donate). I visit the one on Mill Plain and for July they are doing 55 for the first a week, and 60 for the second, but they have a bonus if you donate twice per week you get $10 extra, effectively making it 55/70 for your first and 2nd in a week. Weeks start on Monday and end on Sunday.
My Man and I have being going to the center in Vancouver for 3plus years now. Always something going on but they are only human. Where ever you go there will be drama ect... These people work hard and do a great job! I personally feel you get treated how you treat them. Feel disrespected maybe look at your actions and change that. Its free money for few hours of your time dont be so petty and put down the employees who are doing their jobs best they can. Your complaint about something you volunteer for is just about as lame as it gets. Be better than that....
Your welcome to walk in whenever it's convenient
2 days between draws, no more than 2 draws in a 7 day period. So as long as you didn't go in last week or you went in Monday and Wednesday last week.
Yes! Make sure to eat a light meal and drink plenty of extra water first so you dont crash. 😊
Yes, the funds are available upon completion of each donation on a prepaid debit card which you are given on your first visit.
It depends on weight; the highest bracket makes $60 per donation.
1st 8 donations totals to 825.00! Then after it's based off weight. If under 150, it's basically 40 for the 1st 5 donation and then 45 after each time. Over 150 is like 50 the 1st 5 then 60 after. Confusing but worth it. Also if you can get someone to refer you u probably can both get an extra 100. And the app they provide makes you earn more money too.
Yes
You can come in as soon as they open. And as far as how busy it gets what I do is look on google and right beneath the times that they're open will show you how busy they currently are.
Then after the first 5 then its 25 for the first donation of the week and if you are over 150 pounds then you will get 50 for the second donation of the week, but if you are under 150 pounds then you will get 25 on the second donation.
Not Christmas day
Its available before you get out of the building, on card but you can go to Fred Meyers and pull it off that way they charge a total of 85 cents to pull up to 99 dollars and 3 dollars to pull off over 100 dollars
It's not really a question about the night before. They recommend you eat something right before you donate, so the same day within maybe an hour or so of donating. Just to make sure you have soemthing in your stomach. Some people can become light headed or start feeling sick once the donation process is complete and they start giving you your salene. If you have an empty stomach, there is a chance you can become ill when the salene enters your system. Granola bar, crackers, you don't have to eat a full course meal just something with some carbs or protein in it.
Yes. If you have already gone through the physical with the nurse, then you just sign in at the kiosk, have a quick vital check and then donate. If this is your first time ever, then it will take a little longer to get yo the donation part. I've donated at a few other clinics at different times and the initial setup is the same.
2x in a 7 day period. 2 days you choose is the same 2 days the following week. Starts on monday ends on sunday. Ex... donate on tuesday and thursday (bc you cant do back to back days) it will be 7 days after thay first donation and 7 days after the 2nd donation.
No they don't. If it's suspected, yes they will. Every donation is tested for std's and marijuana is fine. Nothing you can inject is allowed
First 5 donations are different than the rest. $60, $60, $40, $40, $70 For your weight you'll get $25 each donation, we also do monthly bonuses, so extra cash on certain donations.
They check your blood pressure prior to each donation. You are deferred if your blood pressure doesn't fall within the accepted range.
It also depends on your weight, if you are under 150lbs then tou will get 25 on the first and 25 on the second
No you cannot. We never let someone donate with a cast. They may have a brace on and that is only if it is for stability. If you have a broken it sprained anything you need your plasma to heal, your plasma contains your proteins which aids in recovery from injuries. Please self refer to a nurse onsite so they can give you the specifics on how long you have to wait. PLEASE PLEASE do not lie about injuries, this is bad for your body no money is worth that and could result in a permanent deferral from the company. I work here. You CANNOT donate with any broken bone. It's not about if it is the arm you donate from
first 5 donations are more and that amount has changed since I started 3yrs ago. but regularly pay is monday to sunday 25 first time of week and 45 on second time that week. after your first 5 donations you qualify for the bonuses march is 100 on your 8th donation.
Same parking lot as dairy queen. Right next to Aarons.
4 would be tough, but doable. They tell you to account for 3 hours your first time. I'd recommend trying to go in the morning for your first time, as it is far less busy. Anytime after 3 or 4 in the afternoon is pretty busy.
Go early. And make sure you give yourself enough time.to get set up. The first initial intake took a while. I'd say at least an hr and a half if not a little longer. Once you get signed up and they make a profile for you, you see a nurse and they do a basic physical. Very basic non intrusive. After the physical they take you to the donation floor where you donate your first time. Pay goes. 60 60 40 40 70 For your first 5 donations.
It goes. 60 60 40 40 70 Then the first donation of the week is 25 the second is 45. You can only donate twice a week. And if you are under 150# you may get less $ Each month they have bonuses though. So this month after you donate 8 times you get $90 bonus.
I have a po box in a another county where all my mail goes its not the same as my address will that still work
No. You need Id, social security card and mail with current address. SSC and ID must match exactly.
12 months after new tattoos or piercings
6th and 8th donation you get a bonus. Same as January i believe.
Go in and see
I've donated plasma for a decade and a half. I've know and work with people have donated longer. During this time I have yet to discover a person who has experienced dangers of donating plasma.other than hunger and fatigue.
You need a valid id with current address if it isn't current mail post dated with in the past 30 days (usually it is dated where the stamp is), and social security card or w2 that you yourself did not prepare. It is always good to call and make sure you get the name of the person you talked to on the phone.
Valid id with current address if it is not current then mail post dated within tje last 30 days, ss card (or w2 form or tax documents that you did not prepare) dont bring in a copy of the sscard. Name on both id and sscard has to match. Eat 2 hours before coming in. Dont expect for it to be quick some people have waited 5 to 6 hours as a new donor depending if it is busy so make sure you are not pressed for time.
Not so much. If an individual goes 6months between visits, they will receive new donor payments.
They're business hours are 7am to 7pm. Only day coming up different is the 8th when it closes at 6pm.
5 donations for new donors within 45 days. Payments are 60, 60, 40, 40, and last 70.
It depends on how much you worth because the more you weigh, the more plasma they take. The most is 25 for your first and 45 for your second dknatoom of the week. Sometimes there are bonuses.
You can donate twice in a seven day period. i.e. If your first donation was Monday and your second donation was Thursday, you cannot donate again until Monday.
Or a w2 form you can even show the w2 from your phone. Sometimes passports has the ss# on there.
