Absolutely gorgeous place to take a walk, you can get to anywhere in the Park from there. It has good parking and your vehicle is in the view of the highway which is pretty safe. Cost $2 per person to visit the park. You need exact change because there is no attendant there. You just put the money in an envelope and drop it in the box.

This is one of the better trails I've walked in Central Florida. The walk along the Manatee River was the most scenic part. It's true that some of the wood structures need to be repaired, but that is only the short boardwalk going to the loop. The back end of the loop was a little more muddy than I expected for this time of year. Overall, it was a nice hike. I'll come back with my family next time.

Great trails with beautiful scenery. A little mud at the start but tons of fun things to do. Climbing trees fun bridges and totally awesome creek to play in. Soft sand and cold water make for a refreshing stop along the trail.

It's a little muddy and overgrown so wear long pants. The trail is well marked along the river and there's a lovely spot to stop and get wet at the crossover point with a bridge over a small stream.
