I don't recommend cashing any checks from them cause I got one in the mail on wensday and had my trusty bank people check into it to see if it was the real deal.......unfortunately it wasn't the real deal. If it was I could of gotten caught up on some medical bills

My daddy passed away on April 17, 2022. This has been such a devastation and the two gentlemen that came to pick my dads body up were very sweet. I’m looking forward to receiving his ashes as I’m going to have something made from them. I want to donate my body as well.

My mother recently passed and MedCure received her body. To donate her body for medical research was mothers desire. Perhaps MedCure will be able to improve the lives of others through the research they perform on my mother. I strongly urge others to consider MedCure to receive the body of a loved one. Donating her body not only fulfilled her desires but has given me a great deal of comfort. I received a call from MedCure asking questions regarding my mothers life style as well. That indicated to me that they are not only receiving a body for research but also wanted to understand how my mother lived. She passed at 91 1/2 years old with a solid mind. A true blessing

Questions & Answers

I have an idea that would solve this problem, but will still make money. Pay people for their bodies before they die. They get chipped. You get them when they die!

Hello Richard and Shannon. The reason that MedCure, and any other body donation program within the US that is operating within the law, does not offer monetary compensation to donors or their families is that the purchase or sale of human tissue is a violation of the Uniform Anatomical Gift Act. However, we do provide all of the services associated with the donation free of charge upon acceptance of the donation. These services include transportation arrangements, one certified copy of the death certificate, cremation, and either the return of the cremated remains to the family or a scattering at sea.

I heard medcure sells your loved ones body parts to highest bidder on the black market. Anyone else heard this story. Just asking

MedCure's business model is based on the services we provide to medical researchers, surgeons, and scientists whose goals are to advance the knowledge and practice of medicine. All of our research partners are carefully vetted and agree to allow us the right to audit their programs and facilities to ensure they are legitimate medical research or education programs and that they abide by our systems and practice guidelines. We do not profit from the generous donations entrusted to our care. We adhere to the ethics set down by the Uniform Anatomical Gift Act, which prohibits the buying and selling of human tissue.

I'm looking to interview anyone who may have worked for medcure in any capacity. I'm doing some research and you can remain anonymous.

It's time to renew my driver's license. I'm listed as an organ donor. Does this conflict with my Medcure registration?

Hello C.J., It is possible in some cases to be both an organ donor and a whole-body donor. If you are registered for both, priority will always be given to transplant donation because of the ability to immediately save or change a life. MedCure doesn’t determine acceptance of a donor until the time of passing, when we will gather information on any other anatomical donations you have made to help us make that determination. Eye or cornea donations won’t hinder a whole-body donation, but other organ or tissue donations will usually make you ineligible for whole body donation. If your preference is to be only a whole-body donor, you can contact your local DMV to rescind your registration for organ donation.
