New owners just bought the place a local told us. Many upgrades were in progress! New tiki bar roof and tables, etc. It was beautiful… the setting, the staff was friendly and excellent as was the food! We probably had 10 grouper sandwiches on our trips at various restaurants around Sarasota, St Petersburg and the surrounding area and honestly Woody’s was the best by far! Highly recommend going for the waterfront beauty and the Excellent food and service!

The place has developed from a little hole in the wall Florida bar into an attraction. It is conveniently located at the Braden River right off I-75 / Ellenton exit (across from Ellenton outlet), has great live bands, good food, and is well managed. The place has, however, become quite pricey for locals. It is still Okay for an occasional visit because it offers a lot. To be clear, this bar/grill caters mainly to the ever-increasing avalanche of loaded snowbirds. Valet parking and packed every day! Still a good spot for an occasional beer and hamburger, but expect a Steakhouse tab.

We've been coming here for many years. Always good, friendly service. New thatched roof over much of the outside dining. Nice structure which will come in handy in the summer sun or when it rains. I had a Greek salad. Hubby had grouper bites. Everyone was happy!

First time visiting. A friend recommended this restaurant. We arrived and the place was busy with customers eating and others waiting to be sorted. This is the kind of place that you yearn for when you are not sure what to eat. Even the “Chicken loaded Nachos” was a full meal. We also had the New England Clam chowder; it too was delicious. Our friends had the Philly Steak sandwich and deep fried cheese sticks. Everything was well cooked and plentiful. Beer, as usual, was cold and plentiful. The restroom was clean. The waiters where very attentive in spite of how busy the were. We even took a picture with our waitress because she made us feel like family; kudos to her. We will defiantly return!

As of September 2019, yes it is, but I think only for Service Animals. The owner was there when I was and he had his cute little dog but ensured us that he was a service dog for his brother whom was also there, very nice family.
Unfortunately I'm uncertain on their Memorial Day plans
Last I heard it's free Valet. But you should definitely tip accordingly.
The main direction, no. There are steps up one level near the entrance inside and one level down but going around the building you can get there.
