A wonderful family owned business. I came as a working professional to further my career and couldn’t have picked a better place in the country to do it. This place is the obvious choice for anyone wanting to learn how to weld or further their education.

If you are wanting to learn how to weld and get into the industry as fast as you can this is the course for you. They really know how to teach welding here. For the price and the time you can’t beat it!!!

For 18 weeks I attended Mr. Benn's welding school and not once in that time did he display any dearth of concern for the well being and progression of his students. He never quits, always attentive to any questions or problems they may have. Each student is specifically monitored by Benn and his assistant Adam. There is never a moment when a student will not receive assistant or instruction. One can feel assured of their success while attending this institute. Where there is an alacrity for excellence in craftsmanship, there will certainly be success. Do not let yourself become perfunctory in the tedium of your training, and you will be rewarded with well earned skills upon your graduation.

Lonnie, and his support team, made you feel welcomed from the moment you stepped through the door. For an anxious beginner like myself, Lonnie put you at ease right through orientation, safety, and going right into the shop to weld. I'm looking forward to my next training session with Anvil. I had a great time and would recommend them without hesitation, if you're thinking you want to give welding a try, but wasn't sure. Lonnie will definitely help to make up your mind to keep wanting to learn more about welding by making it fun and educational. Thanks Lonnie

Thanks for your interest in our school. We currently offer Saturday home/hobby courses for wire feed which you are welcome to come to. The cost is $80.00 for 1/2 day and we supply everything. You may also want to check out the website: careersinwelding.com which is sponsored by the American Welding Society. We do accept 17 year old students for our career courses, and some have come during the summer to take early advantage of training.
No you do not
Students must be 17 years of age prior to starting training. A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate is preferred, but it is not required. Students must also have good eyesight, with or without corrective lenses.
Our Level 1 students typically earn their American Welding Society FCAW 3G with WABO. The Level 2 course offers the student a choice as to what qualification test(s) they want to take - American Welding Society FCAW 4G and/or SMAW 3G and/or SMAW 4G.
Yes they do.
We offer our home/hobby wire feed course during the winter months. Typically late November through March. Advance sign up is recommended as these classes fill up fast.
Yes, there are employers who hire our five week students who pass the flux-cored qualification test as entry level welders. Students who take the 10 week course gain additional hands-on experience and knowledge.
The 2019 cost to pass an AWS/WABO test is $220.00 for one position (SMAW or FCAW). Two positions in the same process is $380.00.
