One of the best bike shop experiences I've had! I went in without an appointment to drop off my bike for a maintenance check, and they were able to fix it up right then and there. They also recommended a great bike lock for me to use and were overall incredibly helpful and professional. I will definitely be back! Thank you!

Love this place, I know next to nothing about bikes but these guys are always so friendly and are happy to help with any questions or accessory installations

I went in about a month ago to have my back wheel trued and the employee told me the only way they could totally fix it was to install a whole new wheel, which also meant getting a new sprocket. They sold me a quick release wheel that did not come with the quick release skewer so I had to go all the way back to get one. Once installed (by an employee), the wheel would move out of the frame as I pedaled no matter how much I tightened the QR skewer so I would constantly have to move the wheel back. After almost $100 and weeks of frustration, the quick release skewer SNAPPED as I was riding to the grocery store and almost threw me off my bike. I immediately tried to go back to the shop but the open sign and lights were off even though the internet and the sign said they were supposed to be open...... Really? I have been to both locations in town to have my bikes serviced and every time I go in for a minor repair I walk out with more issues than I started with. the employees are rude and condescending and I always end up spending way more money than I should have to, just to struggle with mechanical issues for weeks after. Better off going somewhere else.

Paul's on Alder has been my go-to bike shop for the past nine years - basically the whole time I have had a bike in Eugene. Every time I go there my choice is confirmed: the staff are always knowledgable, informative and friendly. This has not been my experience at other shops where mechanics can often be aloof and snobby. The mechanics at Paul's take time to educate me about my bike in an accessible, genuine way. In addition to the happy atmosphere and expertise, Paul's always gives me a great deal. I come away much happier with my bike and convinced that I got the most bang for my buck. Any time people ask for bike shop recommendations, Paul's on Alder is where I tell them to go. If I ever upgrade my ride, it will definitely be through them. Thanks, Paul's on Alder!

At the downtown location we are requiring multilayer masks, no bandana's, neck tubes etc. Downtown we are only letting customers in when we have staff to great them. Peak hours you are looking at 0-2min wait time typically.

Does anyone know where a guy could trade in a bike or two and put it towards a brand new bike all in the same shop?

We do not have any used 3 speeds currently, we do carry 3 speed bicycles by Trek and Electra. And we can order anything from them we don't have in stock!

Do you buy used bikes?

We do not, we do however have a consignment program and consider bikes for trade in towards new bicycles.
