It’s a nice spot but the lady that comes out is very rude and takes pictures and videos of you well following you around screaming at you that your on private property she refuses to tell you who the owner of the pond is and threatens to call the police. She is the neighbor of the owner not the actual owner. I was nice to her even when she was threatening me and asked her where I could fish and she said the 2 other ponds so I came back the next day to fish there and she still recorded me and followed me around at the second pond threatening to call the police. Long story short there is a lady that WILL NOT EVER LEAVE YOU ALONE. She literally waits for you and will make you very uncomfortable.

I'm giving this place a 5 star just because I love the privacy and it's really nice especially when you get to the river. Beware of the lady in the last house on the left. If she says anything to you just ignore her and give her the finger. She think's she owns the STATE park. Next time she follows me and my dogs into the park she is getting the cops called on her, I suggest everyone else to do the same.

Inaccessible except by boat, if you follow Google maps directions. Maps has you driving into Hyak County park and "walking" into Bowers, across the Willamette River? Is there a foot bridge between these parks? NO! This park is rustic and beautiful, but to give such erroneous directions is irresponsible.

This state property should be more publicly accessable. We biked out to the old pond and cought a bass. A access toad has been improved since my last visit.

Questions & Answers

How can a "state park" have no public access?

The only access is from the river itself. There is no parking area or other facility. You have to enter the river and float to this area

Very disappointing that all road access is blocked by people who think they own the road... Where I'm from they have something called right to roam. Which is a sovereign right, these people claiming private property are infringing on your rights...
