Was in Tampa for an overnight layover... There is something special about this community, may Allah preserve it. The doors are open and welcoming. I came in and was greeted, asked to join the brothers for food that evening. Everything around was so calm and serene. There were some really cute chickens and cats on the outside, and the chickens were so cute and calm you could pet them with no problems. It's like they found some inner peace, and even the animals had iman in their hearts subhanAllah. Allah preserve the bliss and goodness of this community, I'll remember it for a while. Will definitely be back when I'm ever in town again.

The Budget Traveller

Great masjid located near downtown and walking distance to 10 and 30 HART bus lines, both of which run between downtown and the Tampa TPA airport. However, be wary of double checking the prayer timings. The brother told me they are unwelcoming of people coming to the masjid outside of congregational prayer (jama'ah) hours, and locked the doors shortly after Fajr. I was still able to pray but found this to be a bit discouraging when I returned shortly after Fajr and found that the door was locked. I would try to confirm the jama'ah timings before coming to the masjid if I am visiting the area as a traveller.
