Our bachelorette group had an amazing time touring and dipping Oreos at Wilbur’s! Erica (Events Coordinator) was so knowledgeable and made it so much fun. Kate was very responsive to get everything set up for us. Highly recommend!

The moment you step into this candy shop in Freeport Maine, the aroma of chocolate will overwhelm your senses. The variety goes beyond your imagination. There is so much to choose from. One item in particular are the chocolate dipped strawberries. You'll be tempted to purchase each piece of handcrafted chocolate before you leave. When you visit, tell them that Mike and Steve from Touring New England.org Sent you. Enjoy!

This is a cute store with a ton of tourist like items for purchase (like Maine syrup and blueberry pie), but honestly I’m surprised to say the chocolate we got wasn’t all the good. It’s a bit surprising given it’s 65% a chocolate store, but they did have some other charming items like the CDC director bars that gave us some good laughs. Overall I’d say this place is just average which is totally fine.

Great place I think by one family, they were so friendly and helpful, it has a nice stock on souvenirs. So enough said chocolate and souvenirs!!! Love it it made my visit to Freeport more special. Thank you.

Hi Sam, We are not a gluten free facility. We do have a lot of gluten free products, and our staff are always able to help you navigate which ones have gluten. Do you have a product you are looking to find made without gluten? - Andy

Can we take a tour

Wilbur's Of Maine Chocolate Confections | Aug 19, 2019

Hello! There are not daily tours like some of the answers below, but there are tours scheduled at certain days/times every month. The best way to view our up to date event schedule is our website or facebook page. You can always call and inquire about a certain date as well. There are two kinds of factory tours: Hands-On ($4.50 per person) where you are able to assist in packaging a treat to take home after seeing it be made and Walk-Through ($3.50 per person) where you are able to see the factory in production. Hope to see you at the factory soon!
