Everything you're seeing in these negative reviews is absolutely true. Whomever is the Shred-It competitor in the area is the place to go. We have called to tell them they are constantly not showing up, and they say they'll send someone out for an emergency pick-up. It never comes. Then you call in to the phone system and it tells you when your next scheduled pickup is, which also does not come. Only go with Shred-It if you like paying a company to do nothing. They are the worst.

As others have mentioned, if I could give 0 stars I would. At first Shred-it was great, and then they weren't. It has been months of poor communication, and lack of service follow through. Shred-it has missed several pick-ups in a row, and not one time did they reach out to let us know, or offer to reschedule. It has been up to our clinic to reach out, with little success actually getting anything near help. I would 100% recommend taking your business to another company.

The service was cancelled, and they acknowledged we were not renewing and had cancelled. Then four months later they started sending new invoices. I called each time, they apologized - sent me emails, but kept sending invoices the next month. Here we are three months later and they don't stop. ****Update a month later - They sent me a notice that they are crediting $75 which was the amount of the last bogus invoice.. If we go another 45 days without billing me again, we'll see.

We have both Stericycle and Shred-It at work (multiple sites). They used to be pretty decent, but over the past year their service has become excruciating: multiple missed pickup dates, untrained drivers (handling biohazardous materials!), customer service phone wait times of sometimes 45 minutes (and which accomplish nothing). If you have to use these folks, make sure that your contract has a non-performance clause, and be ready to exercise it.
