We walk here all the time. Quiet, clean and well cared for. Unfortunately, we've noticed an increase in the homeless population wandering around. Have also seen actual tents pitched but that seems to have been cleared out but I wouldn't feel safe walking alone which sucks.

Yes, there's a parking lot on the corner of W Renner Rd and N Central Expy. search on google maps for "spring creek nature preserve parking lot".
There's one at the entrance.Renner and plano next to the parking and childrens ground.
I googled spring creek trail map and had many links including a trail app that will give you trail maps and reviews of any trail you wish to visit! I would send you the map I had but I deleted it. I went to Spring Creek trails for the first time a few weeks ago without a map of the trails. Loved the 3ml trail I used and there were signs telling which way to go using the streets you entered on. It was beautiful and I did not get lost😜however I am going to find the trail map again because I feel I only saw a small part of the trails and I want to go back very soon! I may have found the trail map on the Richardson parks and recreation site. Did not mean to write an essay to answer your question and I hope this helps! Have a great day!☺

Not really a good spot for it here but near buy there is a park called Foxboro Park that you should be able to
