I can’t believe I haven’t written a review sooner. We have been frequenting Prima Pasta for many years and I have a lot to share about this wonderful gem of a restaurant. First, I will speak of the service: We have always been warmly welcomed, made to feel more like extended family than patrons. On occasion, Peter, the senior owner, is present and when he is, he always spends a significant amount of time visiting with us, joking with our daughters, and sharing his life’s wisdom with us. He also started a trend of giving our girls some fresh dough to play with and create things with while they wait for their food, which they love! He’s a true joy to know. Over the years we have also met Peter’s wife, son Beck, and grandson. This is truly an authentic family owned business. In addition to the wonderful family, we have noticed that Prima Pasta, retains its staff of servers which we value very much. We love walking in and being welcomed back by servers we’re familiar with. We have always been seated right away or offered to choose our own seat. The service has always been top notch. The staff is beyond attentive and will bend over backwards to accommodate anyway they can. The bread is typically placed on the table within minutes and entrees always come out quickly too. Our waters never run dry and we have never had to wait on a server for any reason. To say their service is impeccable is an understatement! As for the food, first I must share that I’m Italian. I grew up in New York, where my grandparents immigrated to from Italy, and I grew up cooking authentic Italian food. It’s very rare for me to order red sauce at a restaurant because I’m very picky about it. But here at Prima’s, their red sauce is wonderful and close to my own! We have ordered a wide variety of dishes here and have never been disappointed, every dish has been a true delight. Also, the staff is very receptive, if you have a request and prefer your food a particular way, say you prefer your pasta al dente like myself, they are happy to make it happen. It’s also important to share that Prima’s uses high quality ingredients. They use olive oil, real chicken, fresh vegetables and everything is made from scratch! They always offer extra large portions of deliciousness, and unlimited fresh baked bread! A little secret, ask them for just a tiny bit of their homemade balsamic dressing to dip your bread in, you won’t be disappointed! Another important bit about their food is how dedicated they are to address and accommodate any food allergies, sensitivities, or dietary restrictions. Tonight, for instance, we went in with several difficult food allergies and a medical restriction, so we asked for them to create something that would be soy, dairy, corn, gluten, and carbohydrate free (who go’s out for Italian food not being able to eat carbs!?). So what did they do? Beck, came over to our table and sat with us and joyfully and patiently, discussed what he could create to accommodate my needs. Ultimately, he created a delicious dish especially for me. I can’t begin to say how grateful I am for his kindness and talent. It’s hard to have these restrictions and even harder to try to find a place to eat to accommodate them and not be made to feel like a burden; yet, Prima’s, made me feel appreciated, with all my difficult restrictions and all. My gratitude runs deep. Another thing about Prima’s that I appreciate is that you will never walk in and see abandoned tables covered with dirty dishes. The restroom is always immaculate, from what we have been able to see of their partially open kitchen, it too is always kept in tip top shape. This place takes their cleanse leanness seriously! The decor is warm and it gives an authentic Italian feel. The tables are family sized and the chairs are comfortable no matter your size. They offer high chairs for younger children too. In closing, I highly recommend Prima’s Pasta and Pizza, to anyone that truly loves an authentic Italian family friendly, family owned, mom and pop restaurant that serves delicious high quality food!

We have been eating here since my kids were kids. They are 24 now and this 9lace has always been wonderful. Food is fresh homemade bread. They are a hidden gem in Fort Worth. I remember back when the building was a Dairy Queen. Well worth the trip.

Nice Italian restaurant, wish they were in Dallas. But definitely worth the hour drive back for lunch or dinner!!

The only place I’ll volunteer to eat Italian food! The staff is always kind and the orders to-go are always ready like clockwork. We’ve tried pizzas, Stromboli, & pastas and just won’t deviate because they’re all so good! High quality ingredients make such a difference.
