I went to pick up a large bag of dog food. The store is dirty and there's no help. Literally no carts, none in the store and none in the parking lot. There's a sign that says they have no carts on the door walking in. I'm handicapped, I cannot carry large bag of dog food. It was just so dirty and unappealing. It's like night and day if you go to PetSmart in Eugene compared to Petco in Springfield. PetSmart In Eugene is clean, helpful, friendly and lots of carts. PetSmart will be my store from now on.

Just 3 stars because, why? First the good news. Well maintained store, knowledgeable, very friendly, very helpful staff. Now for the negative. The $5 reward apparently appears if you make a fully qualifying purchase on ONE particular day. Doesn't seem to be a points-accrued "reward" but only works if you spend a qualifying amount on just one day. I stopped in to buy just a couple of chews for my dog - was advised that "all" I "need to do is buy $29.17 more to get the $5 reward." And the previous $5 reward was available only at a previous visit where I spent over $80 just that day. It appears the $5 reward is not earned on an accrual basis over several visits but only is awarded where one spends a qualifying amount on one day alone and then the $5 is for the next time you buy. Website needs to CLARIFY the "rewards program" details. TRANSPARENCY, people. TRANSPARENCY.

Lots of options for different brands of animal foods for pretty good prices. About the same price as most competitors. Lots of fish to pick from and see, as well as aquariums and accessories to choose from. Lizards, mice, bird, and lots of other animals there as well. They have a dog grooming spot and dog training. Staff is friendly and helpful. The store is clean as well.

Decent petco, seems to have what we need. Carries a wide variety of brands for my cats and dog. Employees helped us out when we were looking for litter. Actually had a pretty awesome selection of reptiles. They seem to take good care of the critters and keep the store clean and inviting. Will definitely return, I've always liked petco.

Hometown pets would be a better pet store to check out. They actually treat employees like people.
They had box turtles the last time I was there.
