Lexi was a perfect helper when I recently floated for the first time. She was friendly, funny, and very informative about the process. The facility was clean and had a nice vibe. I will absolutely be back!

I was very skeptical about doing this. Having 23 back surgeries and in chronic pain I was for sure this wasn’t going to help the pain. Once I got into the pod and started to soak pain free!! For 1 hour I was able to remember what it was like to not be in pain 24/7. Anyone with chronic pain I would urge you to call urban float and book a float you will not regret it. On top of being in no pain, the staff is amazing!! Friendly, very helpful, willing to make sure your questions are answered and most of all make you feel welcome!! So thank you Urban Float Vancouver. You have a customer for the foreseeable future.

It was super nice. We were greeted by name as we arrived for our appointment. We were offered beverages (they have cbd beverages as well). The staff was friendly. The rooms, pods and showers were clean. It was a very relaxing experience and I'd definitely do it again. You have the option of wearing ear plugs I didn't but next time I will. The amount of salt in the water gave me a headache. 5 stars

If you have any cuts or suspect you might, forget it. Ouch ouch ouch. They say to smear grease over them and provide it... guess what, grease everywhere. Salt water in the eyes and the water got cold towards the end. Would have to say that I don't see myself doing this again. Kind of relaxing once you get past the stinging...

Fortunately, there are many ways you can make your float spa visit suitable to your needs. In fact, people with claustrophobia consistently report no problems with floating. You are always in full control of the floating environment, and it’s up to you whether to have the lid of the float pod open or closed, and whether to have the lights on or off.

Is it safe to fall asleep in a float tank?

Urban Float - Vancouver | Aug 18, 2021

When you float, feel free to relax and even fall asleep. The Epsom salt water used in the 10 inch deep float tanks is dense and elevating, allowing you to effortlessly float above the surface of the water. You can rest assured that a float tank is safer than a bathtub or an afternoon stroll.

What is the Epsom salt in the float tanks used for?

Hi SaraJane, This is a great question! Not only is it safe for pregnant women to visit a float tank, it’s exceptionally helpful for soothing aches and encouraging recovery from pain and stress. Floating relieves tension in the muscles and allows you to experience weightlessness, recovering physically and mentally. It’s been called a must-have for pregnancy, and is highly recommended.
