Coolest spot in Portland!! Great service and they have the best frames. The only spot to go to 😎

The front desk staff at Alberta eye care and eyestrong are wonderful! My partner’s work messed up my eye insurance and the front desk staff has been so kind, helpful, and patient through it all. They also have done a fantastic job of interpersonal communication as I have talked with several different people over the course of the week and all of them were on top of it and never had to explain the situation. Everything has been sorted out and I really appreciate the kindness and friendly manner of everyone there.

Nice selection of glasses, but horrible experiences with the eye doctors there. It is clear they are only invested in making money and not patient care or kindness. The doctors I saw were unhelpful at best. They made me come in for unnecessary appointments, tried to sell me on an $800 procedure, and would not extend any accommodations for those unable to make in-person appointments due to Covid.

My fiance and I just moved to Vancouver WA. I have not had new glasses for years, and after reading reviews decided to look at Alberta Eye Care. I am SO glad I did! I couldn't find my written prescription, but the gentleman at the front desk was able to look up and contact my previous doctor and had the prescription in hand before I was even partly through browsing. They also looked up my insurance benefits with the same ease and efficiency (and billed my insurance, which they did not need to as they were not a preferred provider in my network). Katie was AMAZING! She was friendly and gave me just the right amount of help with my glasses search. She pointed out very helpful things about the fames and how they fit on me. They had to order my lenses but they came in very quickly. When I came in to pick them up Katie was again very helpful and knowledgeable about adjusting both my new and old frames to fit my face perfectly. She also encouraged me to come back in as many times as I needed to achieve the best and most comfortable fit. She knows her stuff! This has been the best eye care experience I have ever had! Thank you!

Yes we do. If you would like to call our office they can look at your specific plan and discuss your benefits. Thanks

Can my eyeglass prescription be filled here?

Yes

I am completely bed ridden but alert and oriented. I can only travel by ambulance and unaffordable. Is there a home eye exam possible? I just need a lens update. I am 10 years post bilateral cataracts. Do you know of any clinic.

Unfortunately our doctors are not credentialed at this time to provide care outside of our offices. There are optometrists that travel to nursing homes and provide care outside of the clinic. I am not sure if these services are currently available with COVID restrictions. The best places to contact are Casey Eye Institute at OHSU and Pacific University College of Optometry as I know that they both have resources to put you in touch with proper services.
