Great trail! It can be as easy or as difficult as you want to make it. There is no water at the trail head, so make sure you plan ahead.

The trail has no real trees on it so keep that in mind on a hot day. It has some pretty good up hill parts so definitely an intermediate hike for sure. The scenery is beautiful with green rolling hills and in the spring time has beautiful yellow flowers that cover the hills! The peak of the hike has a great view of San Clemente and the ocean! It is a peaceful hike and a good workout. Dogs are welcome on this hike so bring them along. Definitely recommend!

We love to run this trail a few times a month with the dogs. Great 4mile round to the flagpole. Dogs love it. Friendly folks along the way usually. Just watch out for rattlesnakes in the summertime. Lots of fun.

Hard hike mostly due to the lack of shade. Overall, a great view and good hike.

i mean, i would say its pretty mellow, its not too bad, if you are new to hiking then you can push through the few slopes it has but otherwise i say go for it
