Sweet layout , great location and everyone from old timers in their 60’s to the next generation of skaters who might have just learned to walk months prior out riding the concrete waves … 🛹 🌊

The Venice Beach skatepark is an excelent equipment for trainning and fun of those one that likes of this sport. It's a Classic, and one of the most knowed skatepark in the wold. All the place were builted to help and improve the performace of the skaters. The surfaces are perfectly flat, without any kinf of injury, perfectly projected and builted to be use by the locals and also tourists. Certainly it is a nice place to go, use spare times and enjoy it. I recommend it.

Iconic Venice beach is a staple of Southern California and the eclectic and eccentric people are a must if you enjoy people watching. In the past, those without housing tended to make this area a bit seedy but there's a great group of people, The Urban Academy, that have worked diligently to help those less fortunate to find a safe place to call home. I had not been back to this area in 20 years and it's exactly how I remember it. The skatepark is full of amateur and amazing talent and if you have an appreciation for skateboarding, take a stroll through the park and watch them catch air! There's little kids, teens, adults and women all riding the rails, going big, falling out and everything in between. With the sun always shining (mostly) there's not a day goes by that someone is not out there putting on a show!

Very dynamic environment, clean and safe. Perfect place for family and friends, maybe avoid or be more cautious after 10pm, and in daytime don't leave your stuff out of sight or reach distance whenever possible. Swimming is amazing and often dolphins come and swim by you, and you can practice or watch many sports, art and music, and if you get lucky you might spot a street fight or two. Overall a great fully bodied experience that it's difficult to regret ever. As an additional note I'd say bring your sanitizer because maybe sometimes the bathrooms could be a little bitty gross but almost never Thank you

Not really maybe closer to the water a bit better for beginners but you have to know the basics entering exiting get some jumps and know how to avoid collisions with others
"Open 24 hours" is misleading. The skatepark is basically on the beach, which doesn't close. But there's no lighting.
You can rent cruiser bikes to ride the boardwalk, maybe an electric scooter too, but nothing in the way of bmx. Bikes don't ride in the skate area...
blades = food skaters
It is a rule. When the park was approved, the question of bikes and scooters was posed and answered. No scooters or bikes. It was a safety issue. There are other parks that allow scooters. Culver Skatepark allows scooters. I’m not sure if The Cove in Santa Monica allows them.
Because
Yes
yes why not
