The food was good but the service not so much. I waited 15 minutes sitting down on my table before the waiter came to say hi and take my order. Then waited 25 minutes after asking 2 different people for the check (waiter no where to be seen). I only recommend if you are in no rush at all. Coffee is good and pastries are yummy.

Solunto was open when we needed it for a late dinner, and the Italian food was delicious. The staff was very accommodating and polite even though we were there a little past closing. Would definitely go again!

The ambiance of the restaurant is cool, it’s right along the street of Little Italy. My friends and I happened to make the hike from JFG during cherry blossom season. None of us are from the SoCal area, so we weren’t sure what to expect, so we just picked based off the menu items. Staff were a little short staffed, but accommodated well for lunch time. For a friendly outing, the area was great! My friends enjoyed their food, the cuisine was authentic. I got food that was slightly oily (visibly seen oil spots were in the sauce), versus my friend who got the same exact order, and she had nothing of the sort and had a good meal. Overall, it’s a nice place to walk into and there’s a cute bakery and gelato spot inside to take out.

Dined January 31, 2022. Great food, pleasant outdoor heated seating with a canopy overhead. Couldn’t ask for anything more, dining outdoor in 59F weather, coming from 24F in Chicago. Walked past Solunto’s twice. Our waitress Juliana was attentive. Order glasses of Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina. Shared a plate of Insalata Di Polipo, great salad with artichokes, black olives, potatoes and tender octopus. The Cioppino was very good. Lots of seafood but I should have asked for it spicier. My partner wanted pesto. He ordered Fusilli Genoese, which was good, but he just wanted pesto, no chicken, dried tomatoes, etc. I could leave without getting dessert(s).

They do sell it in slices but not a whole cake. Items can sell out quickly so call ahead to make sure it did not sell out.

They offer all sorts of wine. Reds, white wines, champagne and hard liquors too. It just depends on what exactly you are looking for. As you may know red wines and white wines have a huge variety. I tried a pinot noir last night and I thought it was very interesting in terms of body but not very aromatic. I hope this helps you. Good luck 👍
