Small store with a nice selection and two ranges, 15 & 25 yards. Knowledgeable staff that will answer questions and offer advice when asked. If you know what you're doing they don't bug you. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because they allow shotguns on their pistol range which is annoying. Seriously, who takes a shotgun to a shooting range?!? SMH... Service at the sales counter can be slow, mostly due to the 285 pages of paperwork required in CA for firearms purchases. They're always busy, so be patient or come in nice and early on a weekday. Good things come to those who wait. I picked up this GSG-16 last week for under $350.

This is my go to place to purchase firearms and ammo. Staff is very courteous and knowledgeable always recommending the best option for the money, and I really appreciate that. It is always a pleasure to deal with gentlemen at the counter and at the gun range section, everybody is always very nice with you unlike in many gun stores I ve been to before. What I like about this store besides personnel is that there is always a lot of inventory for sale - firearms, ammo, accessories, and prices are very competitive matching some online deals. The gun range is decent as well, no complaints. Website though needs improvements as it is pretty slow and does not reflect real inventory situation. Also, payment thru the website is a challenge, it does not accept my credit card for some reason, so I have to go to the store all the time. And of course it would be great if ammo prices and availability could be seen and purchased on the website as well. Other than that I am pretty happy with DiscountGunMart and can highly recommend them.

My wife and I completed DGM's Introduction to Firearms class today, and it was a blast! Kyle and Patrick are great instructors, they put all of us at ease and the class materials are laid out so novices can easily grasp what's being taught. We're definitely planning on doing the follow-up classes, keep up the great work guys. Also, big shout out to Matt at the Santee store for answering our questions and signing us up for the class. We'll be seeing you when it's time to purchase (which I hope is soon)!

Great customer service! Very helpful and willing to answer all questions. They are always busy as they are a great business. Do recommend making an appointment for buying firearms as the line to wait gets long and appointments are taken first. Bought my baby glock and shot at the range. Got a range membership and it pays for itself!

Range fees are charged on a per hour basis, additional time charged in 1 hour increments.
Have an ID and be of legal age. And pay, of course.
We plan to be open until 9 every night as soon as we have the trained staff to handle it. We are short a lot of staff members and are unable to do so now. As far as 10 PM on Friday and Saturday nights, that remains to be seen. One step at a time. First 9 PM, then go from there. As is common pretty much everywhere, hiring is tough in this job market. Bottom line - we are committed to extending our hours back to the previous levels as soon as we can.
All minors must be accompanied by a parent or adult legal guardian to shoot. We can instruct minors with parent.
Yes we do.
Yes, we also have loaner cases that you can go in and borrow and return to your car to put your gun in.
NO! This is likely an imposter. DO NOT send any money via PayPal etc. YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF! We have nobody by that name.
No. They have places they recommend for gunsmithing.
Yes! A great starting point is this seminar we offer: "How to get your San Diego CCW" https://range.discountgunmart.com/rangemanagement/classdetail.cfm?class_id=660
Yes, you may rent a Glock 40 cal. Two people are required to rent a firearm (with certain exceptions). The firearm rental is $10 plus your lane fees and consumables like ammo and targets.
They have several that you can rent
Our firearm rentals start at $10 each. You must purchase our ammo for use in our rental firearms. https://www.discountgunmart.com/indoor-ranges/non-member-pricing/
I believe that the FFL transfer fee is $100. Best to call and make sure that price is accurate though
Yes. They are a gun store and range.
I believe i have seen lowers there. They can order through their vendors for you if there is something specific you are looking for. They ordered me a stripped receiver from Brownells for a build I was doing.
No. Membership just gives you discounts and perks when it comes to range time.
You have to bring your own firearm or travel with a friend to rent a firearm. It's about 20 bucks including targets, not factoring ammo prices !! Hope that helps!!
You can rent solo under certain conditions. The easiest being bring in your own working firearm. Otherwise, we also have available to have an RSO be with you during your visit for a fee.
They do buy guns. But only if the gun is worth buying and even then it will be bought pretty cheaply. If you just want to get rid of the guns and you arent looking to make what its worth through consignment or you just cant wait then they will definitely buy.
Steel bullets no, steel cases yes. They check ammo with a magnet.
The actual Mil definition of "assault rifle" = safety selector having the option from transitioning from semi auto, to full auto. California, and many other states cannot sell full auto firearms to civilians.
