they have a cat!!!!!!!! ok real review: i stopped by here before getting some coffee and was immediately charmed and filled with the nostalgia of book stores from my childhood. just being in there for a few minutes i could tell the owners have a real passion for books and service and i will definitely be back to get some more books (and to say hi to rorschach 🐱) ♡♡

I have gone there regularly for years and bought books on Italy and the Netherlands, where my ancestors came from. I learned a lot about their cultural and political histories. Every month this store gets more books on my favorite topics.

One of the few small, independent bookstores left in the city. This is one of those special places you just want to browse for an hour. Great owner, and of course a resident cat.

This is a place I will always come back to. My girlfriend and I are very fond of books and we wanted to find a place where we could get some new ones. We found this little place and instantly feel in love with it. The black cat, the huge selection of books, the most friendly owners, giving away books for free instead of throwing them away, makes this place more than special. The owners have a wonderful passion for books and it shows.

Being a used bookstore they have different books in stock all the time. When I was last they had some. They usually don't have many young adult books.
I'm not the owner or work at this bookstore. I visited once and they carried all sorts of books, mostly used of what I saw.
Yes.
They do buy used books of any type I don't know what their price is but no you don't need to make an appointment either
I think I saw some LDS books there, but which I couldn't say. It's a great store to check out!
Thank you. Depends entirely on what you're selling.
The staff at Maxwell's follows strict covid rules.
Yes, very sparingly. Most of the books are quite old, but they are still very good resources.
They have gardening books...
Their website asks you to call first if you wish to sell. http://www.maxwellshouseofbooks.com/
Good question. I'll personally call them for that sort of stuff!
Thank you, Chanty. All depends--authors, condition, etc.. Happy to look.
Thank you for you interest, Sandie. No, I do not. However, depending on what kind of work you need, I'd be happy to recommend a couple of alternatives.
