Moment Bicycles is great. They managed to get me the exact bike I wanted even though it was sold out throughout the US because they called their supplier to double check right after I called and some had JUST become available. After that they were very responsive and helpful — if you buy a bike through them they give you free tune ups the whole time you own it! My bike was settling in and needed some adjustments so I brought it in and asked them to do it that day and they did it within 15 minutes. Great service and friendly people.

So I’ve recently started my journey into cycling about 1 year ago training for a triathlon and I to love it. 6 months I started to take it more seriously and wanted to get professionally bike fit as I felt I had a lot to improve on my bike position and heard it can really help with prevention on injuries and become more comfortable on the saddle. I quickly learned the more comfortable you are on the saddle the more power and longer rides you can go on. So Moment Bicycles became highly recommended so I took the plunge. I got the honor to meet Leon who did the bike fit, he not only helped me dial in my position (which was miles off) but also gave me tons of useful info and tips for newbie like me. Since changing the position which included damn near everything the bike felt completely new and better in every way. Not only do I feel more comfortable but my first ride I felt like I was flying and the numbers backed it. They helped me out with so many other miscellaneous things but I could not recommend this place more especially Leon the guy just straight knows his stuff and is just a good dude! The only downfall is I am moving to Colorado and a Moment Bicycle shop won’t be around otherwise they would have my service till the wheels fell of.

I’ve had nothing but great experiences at this shop. They didn’t have the bike I wanted in stock, but I was able to order directly from Giant and have it shipped to the store. They put the whole thing together for me, and even offer basic service/tuneups on the bike in the future. All the employees are extremely helpful and knowledgeable - I will always highly recommend this shop and will be buying anything cycling related from here in the future.

We don't rent bicycles for long term rentals, it would cost more than buying a bike. Really our rental business is not setup for long term rentals. I would say, that if you purchased a bike then resold it 2nd hand you might do better. Used bikes are selling for nearly full price now. (covid). Let us know if you have other questions!
We don't directly ship. we are happy to pack bike for you. We recommend Bikeflights.com for best shipping rates. Often we pack a bike for shipping, then we'll email dimensions and weight to client so they can book shipping air bill with bikeflights or others. They request pickup from our store. Bike is then picked up by shipper at Moment. Makes it easy for everyone.
3 people at a time inside the store and face mask required
We don't generally stock them, but can order from a few manufacturers. Giant makes the Expressway we have sold several of. If you are interested in the expressway, they are currently sold out, but looking to be available in about 3-4 weeks. If you'd like one, we suggest ordering it ASAP. There is unprecedented demand right now, so bikes are getting allocated to dealers that have sold units first. Hope that helps.
We have a few comfort bikes. I would not say that we have a broad selection of comfort bikes in stock -- probably 2 or 3 of our favorites. If you're willing to special order, we have several options for you. We specialize in bikes for cyclists, but are happy to help anyone with an affinity for 2 wheels! We do have more bikes that are in the $2-6k range than the $500 range. If you mean comfortable road bikes, that is one of our specialties.

we do not stock them, but are able to service/repair them, and we can special order them for you if you'd like.
Moment has a 40 mile Saturday ride that leaves the shop at 8:30. There is some information on their website. The route includes a lot of variety with segments through Balboa Park, Mission Bay, and Castillo Point.
We do not stock used bikes, but we do have 10 speed step thru bikes for ladies.
